How could they not retire his number? I’ve been saying for years they need to build a statue in Rodgers image and have TT pray to it 5 times a day for allowing him to keep his job.

#12 can wait. I am still waiting for #5 to be retired.

Also waiting for Sterling Sharpe and Leroy Butler to get in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

And these guys as well: Bill Howton, Verne Lewellen, Gale Gillingham, Lavvie Dilweg and Bill Forester. Particularly Gale Gillingham. Charles Woodson if he goes in as a Packer.

I dont think any are missing tat should be. You cant just start retiring every number for a great player. They have to be one of the best to ever do it. The only one I would say that doesnt deserve it is Reggie. Obviously an all time great but he only played 6 seasons for the Pack and none of them were ever as good as what he did with the Eagles. If Brett and Bart both have retired jerseys you have to retire Rodgers.

In his 192 starts, has thrown a total of two pick-6s, only one of them his fault... 19-5-0 vs da Bears, probably all-time leader in Bears fan tears...

I agree that only all-time great long-term Packers should have the honor. Rodgers is an all-time great long-term Packer.

besides the cool statistical accolades, every QB of a SB winning GB team has been retired before him. Rodgers deserves to join in the ranks of the retired for QBing the SB team even without the cool stats.

Sterling probably won't make it in because his career was cut short (it isn't fair of course) and safeties have a devil of a time getting in. Charles Woodson won't go in as a Packer because this isn't the MLB. NFL players don't go into the HOF affiliated with any particular team.

I'am sure the FO will give him this accolade, however I'an convinced that at times he purposely passed up wide open receivers to make his point the last 2 seasons, so theres been this element of rebellion and naughtiness going on for a while

I'm pretty sure the only numbers that get retired by the Packers are only those that make the NFL HOF. This approach removes any subjectivity out of the decision.

So yes, Rodgers #12 will retired.

What would the "no" argument be? Maybe that more iconic Packer names/players don't have their numbers retired? I've never seen a better QB in any NFL season in my life than 2011 Aaron Rodgers.

Much like Favre did with the Vikings, after a certain amount of time, I would say completely irrelevant... although, I do have to admit, it would have left more of a "forever sting" if the Favre Vikings had won a Super Bowl.

Is #18 retired in Indy? Or in Denver for that matter?
