WeatherThe Green Bay Packers travel a state over to take on the Minnesota Vikings. It is the first prime-time game on New Year's Eve for the Packers since 2006 at Chicago.
It marks the second straight season that the two teams will meet in Week 17.
Of the past 21 regular-season meetings in Minnesota between the teams, 14 have been decided by single digits.
The Packers have a 30-31 record in away games against the Vikings, including wins at Minnesota in two of the last four seasons.
Green Bay has scored 30-plus points in two of the last three games in Minnesota.
The two teams have split the season series each of the last three seasons.
Of the past 42 regular-season meetings between the teams, 25 of those games have been decided by seven points or less.
Through 126 meetings, which includes two postseason contests (1-1), the Packers hold a 65-58-3 edge over the Vikings in the all-time series.
Since 2000, the Packers are 27-18-2 (.596) in regular-season contests versus the Vikings.
This is the first time the Packers have played games on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve in the same regular season. The Packers have played games in the same year on those days (1994), but the New Year's Eve contest was a playoff game:
Thanksgiving: N24, L at Dallas, 34-31
Christmas Eve: D24, W at Tampa Bay, 34-19
New Year's Eve: D31, NFC Wild Card, W vs. Detroit, 16-12
For the third straight season and the fourth time in the last five, the Packers will finish the regular season with back-to-back NFC North contests.
Green Bay will return home to face the Bears in the regular-season finale on either Jan. 6 or 7.
Under Head Coach Matt LaFleur, the Packers are 5-4 against the Vikings (2-2 on the road) and have scored 21-plus points in seven of the nine contests.
Green Bay's five wins over Minnesota since 2019 are the most in the NFL.
The Packers are 2-2 against the NFC North this season.
The Packers are 20-8 against the NFC North since 2019, a .714 divisional winning percentage that is tied for No. 4 in the NFL over that span.
RB Aaron Jones has four games with 100-plus scrimmage yards against the Vikings since 2019, No. 2 in the NFL behind WR Davante Adams (five) but two more than any other running back in the league over that span against the Vikings.
RB AJ Dillon aims to register a rushing TD against Minnesota for the fourth time in the last five games.
LB Rashan Gary has posted a sack two of the last three times he has played Minnesota.
DL Kenny Clark posted a sack in both of the last two contests against the Vikings. Clark has eight sacks against Minnesota, the most against any single opponent.
