Issues With the Site

From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.

Issues With the Site

Post by BF004 »

We are aware of the errors on the top of the page and some posting issues.

We have no idea what is wrong. Hoping this will be one of those things that will just fix itself.

We will start digging into what is going on and possible fixes.

To expand on the issues, you'll notice when posting a message that, upon hitting the submit button, you are redirected to an https fail page. It says something to the effect "the website cannot complete your request". In reality, your message was submitted successfully. You'll just need to manually return to the main website to see it posted.

If, however, you hit the "back" button, you will not see your message and may feel compelled to resubmit. This will result in the same cycling to the failure page but you will now have posted the message twice.

As mentioned above, we are aware and are investigating. Your patience with this glitch is appreciated.

This week, I have had and seen more network issues than ever in my life. At home and everyplace. Just yesterday at work, where I'm in a cube farm, everyone got dropped out of various meetings at the same time. You'd have thought an amber alert just got issued.
hahaha

Back in my aircraft maintenance days whenever we had something we couldn’t figure out we usually tried peeing on it. If that didn’t fix it at least we showed it who’s boss.

It got rid of the error codes on the top, but didn’t fix the issue. Guessing that was just a downstream issue from whatever the real issue is.

Think we might try upgrading the forum software to 3.3.11. Might take a little while till we can figure that out.

I wondered what was happening. I would post a reply but got an error message instead. Later I would see my post was there. The joys of technology...

That is a perfect solution, Lupe.
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

If we find ourselves needing to leave phpBB, I recommend ProBoards.
