I think if this is actually true, then there is more to this then simply lack of targeted throws his way, for 1 he knows that the QB who has spoken so highly of him has been hurt and his coach had to modify the passing games because of inexperienced QBing, and 2. we are only 4 games into this season, nah, this would seem to be a personality clash with the coaches or other players.
I sure hope this ends up to be over hyped issue, I've always liked Doubs ability to get open, route running and fighting for contested catches, He may not be the most athletic, fastest or even gifted, but he's a steady eddy and a fine # 2 or 3 receiver.

Weird, he seemed to have a happy go lucky type of personality but you never know I guess. Hope he recovers/reconsiders. Until then bring on Melton and Heath.

I mean he’s in the year where WRs typically get their extensions. He’s clearly not the #1 WR with Reed doing his thing. I don’t even think he’s the #2 because the team loves Watsons physical traits.
I can see why he is unhappy. You typically get 1 shot at getting a mega deal after your rookie deal and very few players get a huge 3rd deal.

That’s fine but he needs to look in the mirror. He has not been good enough to command a mega deal. Not even sure we could trade him for anything

He is 2nd on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Not sure where this is coming from.

This isn’t the year WR’s get extension. Don’t think he is even eligible till next year.

I meant like after this season concludes. This is the year he needs to put up the numbers justifying the extension. If that makes sense. I don’t know if it’s coming out right.

IF this is true
He can be as unhappy as he wants. That's fine. His actions are not. That's some straight bullsheet. Quitting on your team? Wow. Big week and with Watson out he pulls this. Smh. He was always a little weird and stand offish with the media which is fine but this seems really strange.
Again if this is true and I'm green Bay I'm moving him tomorrow. I'm calling a team like the pats and making a deal. He would be their #1 instantly and we could use a pick or help in other positions.

This dude is not credible, he has a thorn in his saddle for Lafleur and his a** not being good enough

He got suspended one game. Hopefully he comes back and we all move on. If he continues his bs, he’s not good enough to be a cancer. Trade or cut.
But there may be more to the story, and that might be that this is a legit mental health issue.

I like doubs fine as a player, but what does he do that’s elite? What makes him anything but just a basic level of consistency?

The last thing this team needs is a cancer in the locker room. He's not even all that special, imo.

One AFC scout told our draft analyst Bob McGinn that he deemed Doubs “mentally frail” before then adding: “He wigged out at the Combine. He had so much anxiety and apprehension that he stayed in his room and never came out. Did not participate in the combine. After the initial day, he never came out. That was very much a concern that our scouts had. He's probably no better than a third day guy at best.”
I don’t want to bash someone too hard with mental health and anxiety concerns. A younger me would have called him a pussy made bitch but I empathize with him at this point in my life. I hope he gets the help he needs and is able to come back strong.
That said it’s gonna be a huge week for Wicks and Kraft. I think Reed continues to be a dog. The others need to step up.

I agree with the analysis that more is probably going on in the mentals than just being a “diva”

And first in routes run.
This makes absolutely zero sense.

I guess he didn't do some combine drills because of an anxiety attack. So I could buy that's what this was this week.
