First game of week 9 , Texans at Jets. 10 minutes of game time in and this is just bad football

Man, it’s difficult watching the Jets play football. So much talent on both sides of the ball but they play so sloppy, so undisciplined, and so soft.
Newsflash: Robert Saleh wasn’t the problem. They still stink.

I'd say something but it would then be a 4 page conversation about 4th wide receivers....

7-0 at half. Guess I missed all the excitement.

Should be 7-7 but the Jets player dropped the ball in TD celebration mode before he crossed the goal line and it ended up being ruled a turnover and touchback.
The Jets are just a sorry team right now. No excuse for it with all that talent.

I'm trying to figure out why exactly they are so bad, and my conclusion is that their plays and scheme aren't very good, whether that is on Rodgers changing stuff at the line or the play call or the playbook or the offensive coordinator or whatever.
But when I watch them, or McCarthy in Dallas, I'm just thankful that we have what we have now. As good as Rodgers/MM were in their heyday, the MLF offensive scheme is just so much better.

Pitre stumbles 1-1 vs Adams, blitz too slow to get to AR, and Davante's gone.
Texans with some rotten injury luck.

I didn't watch last nights game, forgot there was even football on, but there is no scheme that can correct for a lot of what I saw wrong with the Jets in earlier games. When 1st downs bounce of your chest for int's and oline doesn't block 1 or 2 or 3 rushers and RB's can't hit lanes etc, there isn't a scheme on earth that works. There are 10,000 ways to Rome. I don't care which one you run. Block on offense, disrupt blocks on defense and you win that part.
Sure scheme can affect how it looks, but a running play will go nowhere if you don't block it up right. you can scheme a guy open at times, but they still have to catch it. They have to be where they're supposed to be. If it's a slow play because you need 15 yards then you need to block it up right too.
The Jets aren't good at any of it at this point. Sounds like they didn't do any better last night.

Not in the first half.
In the second half, they looked more the part of an actual professional football team.

I forgot to watch last night too, jets games are not on my watch list
, so just a few clips today, Rodgers isn't the problem with the jets, and receivers do matter 23, only a fool would think they don't, and the more you have the more likely you are to win, obvious to anyone not concerned with the defending the foolishness that went on with GB for 8 years.
the Jets look like a terrible, lousy blocking, tackling, someone gave that bunch a stern talking to at half time, they improved in the 2nd half, AR was 22-32-220 or so, not terrible by any means, Tae and Wilson each had 90 yrds.
I dislike who Rodgers became as a person, but was hoping his career would end on a high note, not to be as it's turning out.
Favre= a degenerate fraudster
Rodgers= condescending two tongue, floor fletching liar
Starr= anointed to Saint Hood, greatest Packer ever

while on the vein of great Green Bay QB's, I've known none of them well enough to comment on them personally with a lot of accuracy, but I will anyway.
I think Starr was from a different time in general, but even so, he was the cream of the crop. A real standout person. But he also played in a time when fans were much more respectful of players and the relationship between media, fans etc wasn't so strained. But even so, i'll never forget at one of the short lived Packer Fan Fests meeting him by the elevators to get up to the old pro shop. Just hanging out like we were talking to my uncle. Such patience, dignity, respect and focus on who was near him.
By the time Favre and Rodgers came to be, the game was huge and we seem to be in a period where we love to build them up to tear them down. I don't personally have any problem with Favre other than how he treated his wife in terms of fidelity for a while. But that is between them and as far as Rodgers is concerned i have zero issues. I think media generates most of it and we live in a time where people just like to make others mad about how others live. Sports programming is all the View, for men. Is that sexist? don't $%@# care LOL

NO, thats not it, it members commenting about all these great seasons, but with only 4 Lombardi's, and when we won them we had more then just one excellent receiver, receivers matter, and I was shot down every time I brought up the need for more of em after we lost PO games.
and 23 provoked it with his comment, completely obvious
