Packers Huddle

In a week of tough picks, three members managed to nail five of six picks to share top honors. In order to reach five correct picks, though, those members had to toss aside their team loyalties and go with the Lions to top our beloved Packers. So congratulations to @Papa John, @Batgirl, and @wallyuwl for winning this week's honors...and losing your souls.

Those of us who double dipped betting on a Packers upset took one in the shorts and the standings reflect our over optimism. Papa John now sits alone atop the overall standings with @Backthepack4ever and yours truly nipping at his heels. Several others remain within striking distance, though, so one bad week could spell trouble in the standings. Choose wisely!

With the Packers on bye this week, I am forced to go to the Packers Plan B team for the primary matchup, the NY Jets! I figure it's the next best thing to picking a Packers matchup!

The rules are simple:

• Choose an outright winner from the four select games of the week

• Choose an outright winner from the Packers matchup

• Choose an outright upset winner from any weekly matchup

The upset pick can be from the previous five games already in play or any of the other weekly NFL matchups on the schedule, so long as your chosen underdog victor was listed as a kickoff dawg. For reference, a listing of Vegas odds can be found here.

I will maintain a cumulative tally of correct choices with the winner declared at the end of the regular season. You'll get a mulligan for two weeks, be it forgotten picks or a bad week, but the rest are on you. The winner will be declared at season's end for the participant with the most correct picks. In the event of a tie, the participant with the most correct upset picks will be declared the winner.
