Jordy was king of the sidelines. Davante was a king everywhere else.

Both had great hands after going through some drop issues early on. Both were big game, big play receivers.

Man, I lean Adams but just can’t make a good case for it.

I think prime Adams was one of the 3 best receivers in the entire league at his peak. I always felt like Jordy was on the cusp of top 5 in the league.

I also think Adams game overall was just better. He undoubtedly had a better release, I think he was the better route runner, had better hands, and was better after catch by a significant margin IMO. Jordy I think might have had the better ability to win deep.

Adams release can't be matched, but you can win in other ways in your route which Jordy did. I could go back and forth all day and still find reason to change my mind between the 2. How they won their routes was different. I think Jordy had more of a stretch the field and deep ball/big play ability.

I still think Greg Jennings was better than both. So smooth, so precise. He didn't need to make the release look so spectacular, he just ran by guys and it was so smooth you never saw it.

to many very good receivers for Jordy to ever build the chemistry that Adams had with Rodgers, which to me often divides this stuff, still I agree with others Adams just seemed more gifted with release, cod skills, hands, Jordy was a physical receiver were Tae played with more finesse, I have to vote Adams, but glad we had both

Jordy was the king of body control. Both were great, but I think the answer is Davante pretty easily. Jordy always seemed to disappear in the biggest games (with the exception of the Super Bowl) and I hated that about him. It is also kind of an unfair question as 2015 robbed Jordy Nelson of whatever was left of his prime.

I don't agree that he was better, but he is also in the conversation, IMO. Jennings was a perfect combination of Nelson and Adams.

Adams was the better player and better output. Due was simply an artist. Even better watching live. He played like he was in the Matrix.

I enjoyed watching Jordy more however because I can relate to him to more. Just a farmer from Kansas who happened to be incredible at football. The dude kept his meal per diems he was that cheap. I do the same thing.

Jordy is my people. One of my favorite Packers ever.

This. Both were great but Adams was one of our best ever. Rodgers called him the best football player he's ever played with.

excellent point, I wish I'd made it  to me, it's the receiver a defense can not stop no matter who or how many defenders are tasked to cover them, and Adams had that capability, where Jordy as you stated could not.

I want to ring the bell for Greg Jennings, he had some of that ability to, really hard to cover, again, more chemistry with Rodgers or any other great QB and his stats would have been higher too, the two positions are dependent on each other for either to be world class, jmo

well if Rodgers said it :rotf: is certainly best receiver IMO, when one player has the ability to read another mind as seemed the case with those two, both are gonna look great :aok:

I picked Adams but did not think the results would be so lopsided in his favor. Jordy was great. That back shoulder route was his bread and butter. He was faster than Adams and probably a better deep threat, but Adams was a better all-around receiver IMO. Adams ran a more complete route tree. This is almost kind of like a poor man's version of Jerry Rice vs. Randy Moss.

Jordy was king of the sidelines.
And the middle too. Check out the highlights below

Where Jordy gets the nod from me is his ability to beat Cover 1 vertically - that changes an entire offense and changes the type of defenses deployed to stop it. They were complimentary to each other, so its likely that they each benefitted from one another's presence
These two guys are such different types of WRs, its really apples and oranges for 2 of the best to ever play the game.

The 90's were truly a different brand of football. You can take very few players from that era that would still have a chance to be good today. Sterling Sharpe is one of them. He would still be a dominant receiver today. Part Deebo and part Greg Jennings. He was that freaking good.

I just noticed that Davante Adams is currently tied with Don Hutson for career TDs at 99
Adams has a chance to move into Top 10 in career receiving TDs with his next score

The esteemed Mr. Adams got his 100th and 101st TDs yesterday
Congrats

Adams is now in sole possession of 10th All-Time in receiving TDs and he and Mike Evans will battle their way up the leaderboard-
Both of these WRs entered the league in 2014 with Evans being the # 7 overall pick and Adams getting selected at # 53
