ON KERBY JOSEPH NOT MAKING THE PRO BOWL:
Of course anyone with even a little bit of NFL football knowledge is well aware that Kerby should’ve made the Pro Bowl this season. Word is he received the most votes for a safety according to the Fans Voting!

So, why didn’t he make the Pro Bowl?

Well, that means the NFL Players and Coaches DID NOT vote for him to make it. So, regardless of whatever you all think of that, let me make you aware as someone who’s been in the locker room discussion while we select those guys, that THIS WAS A VERY CLEAR MESSAGE FROM HIS PEERS AND COACHES LEAGUE-WIDE!

His on-field production is unquestionable, and will likely garner 1st Team All-Pro Honors at the end of the season… BUT, It’s also quite clear that NFL players and coaches have a problem with how he plays the game… He can take that however he chooses, but it is an absolute reality, just in case y’all thought the complaints were merely outliers!

McKinney doesn’t deserve to start over Lions safety Joseph. Jacobs doesn’t deserve it over Saquan so that’s fine. Gary shouldn’t be a pro bowler at all.

Gary has not been as productive as a pass-rusher as we would like at his contract, but I will say, he got a lot better this year against the run and at being a more well-rounded player. Up to this point he was kind of a liability against the run, pass-rush only.

I think this explanation is good about Joseph. Not sure how applicable it is about Gary, other than coaches and players voted for him.

You inadvertently nailed it.

Pro Bowl selection, as I understand it, is a three-tiered selection process. The fans get a vote as do the players and coaches. There is some weighting per voting bloc - I don't know the exact algorithm - but that is the gist of it.

The player and coach votes reflect how they view the play of the individual. It is precisely what the Watson Sr tweet about Joseph spoke to, and we can assume it directly relates to Gary only in reciprocal fashion.

In other words, it stands to reason if Gary didn't have a strong fan vote showing, as was apparent two weeks into voting, he made up for it with the player and coach voting. They obviously respect Gary's game and their votes to put him into the Pro Bowl reflect that.
