A BF Mock - v.001

Potent Notables

Sean Manion QB Coach

Covington DL Coach and run game coordinator

Hire some new LB coach

Sean Rhyan is moved full time to center.

Packers resign McMannus

Trades

Romeo Doubs + 2025 2nd round pick + 2026 5th round pick

for

Garrett Wilson

Something just doesn't seem right with Doubs, in the head and in the locker room. He is in a contract year and is excited for a fresh start with Jets and they give him an extension right away, for far less than Garrett Wilson will likely receive.

Garrett Wilson is done with the Jets and is excited to play with a contender. Packers and Wilson both agree to hold until next offseason to discuss contracts extension talks, Packers would own his rights for 2026 as well under the 5th year option.

This swap will add about $2M to the Packers cap and give them the obligation of Wilson 5th year option contract in 2026.

Image

Oh but we twaren't done yet...

Jaire Alexander + 2025 3rd Round Pick for

for

DK Metcalf + 2025 Seattles 2nd round Pick

Packers get their field stretcher in Metcalf while waiting for Watson to return. He will cost $18 million on the cap in 2025 and then is a free agent next year, along with Watson.

Trading Jaire saves ~6.5M on the 2025 cap and frees us up greatly in 2026 and beyond.

Image

All in all, the Packers move Doubs, Jaire a 3rd and futuer 5th, for Metcalf and Wilson

Free Agents

Byron Murphy Jr - 3 years $48M - coming off his first pro-bowl season, Murphy is still only 26 years old. Playmaking, physical corner, just what we are looking for.

Image

Austin Corbett - 1 year $5M - Signed a fairly larget contract wtih the Panther 3 years ago, spent the last two years on IR, knee and biceps. Has guard flexibility, is 29 years old, and provides some depth and competition at the center spot.

Image

Draft

TRADE

Packers move from 23 to 31 and pick up a 3rd round pick.

1 Kenneth Grant - DT Michigan 6'4" 340

Image

Kenneth Grant is a powerful and agile defensive tackle for Michigan, standing 6’3” and 340 pounds. Renowned for excelling in crucial moments, he effectively pressures the quarterback and anchors the run defense with his natural athleticism and strength. With significant potential and ongoing development, Grant is a top first-round prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Big big man, with some pass rushing skills. Losing Slaton won't help the run D, but Grant won't hurt it either.

2 Josh Conerly Jr. - OT/OG Oregon 6'4" 315

Image
Conerly had the five-star pedigree entering the 2024 season to warrant NFL consideration, but the tape had been inconsistent in his first year as a starting offensive tackle. It was this past season, though, that he truly came into his own.

With tremendous athleticism and body control, Conerly moves like a much lighter man on tape. His foot speed in pass protection and his redirect ability give him significant range as a blocker, making it easier for him to execute blocking assignments on the move. Though he projects best in a more zone-oriented running system, he has thrived in gap assignments as well.

There are plenty of offensive linemen who test well, but Conerly’s pad level and coordination make it easier for him to climb to the second level and block linebackers. He’s obviously bigger and stronger than the off-ball defenders he goes up against, but his precision and fluidity on the move allow him to take precise angles blocking in space.

Though his play strength isn’t elite yet, Conerly has gotten stronger as his time at Oregon progressed. He improved how well he absorbed power at the point of attack, and if he can continue to better withstand bull rushes and stabs, his ceiling is high.

He seems to have long enough arms to stay at tackle, as his wingspan, combined with his athleticism, gives him the range to thrive outside. If teams were to project him inside, he likely could thrive as a guard, but his future seems particularly bright at tackle.

Given his athletic tools, ideal arm length, and body control, Conerly seems like a safe bet to go in the first round. He looks the part of a late Round 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to this point, but considering how he’s progressed quickly in college and is still just 21 years old, a team could take a chance on his upside earlier than that.

Got the skill positions in FA, now keep hammering the trenches.

3 Daylen Everette - CB - Georgia - 6'1" 195

Image
Daylen Everette is a physically gifted cornerback with an ideal size, speed, and athleticism combination. He excels in press coverage, using his length and physicality to disrupt receivers at the line of scrimmage. Everette’s fluid movement and quick change of direction allow him to stick with receivers on all levels of the field. At the same time, his ball-tracking skills and competitive mindset make him a playmaker in contested situations. He shows strong instincts and awareness in zone coverage, reading plays effectively and reacting decisively. He is best suited to starting his career in a zone scheme. However, if he lands with the right coaching staff, he could develop his man coverage skills to become a scheme-versatile starter.

Then draft a hanful of others

Starting Lineup

Oh that's dope. Seattle is in cap trouble so I don't know if they can take on Jaw's contract.

Love your 1st pick. Don't know about the 2nd pick. Offensive line is an enigma. Love the trade aggression. Also love Murphy but I have a feeling MN will want to resign him.

Yeah, not sure how possible either are, saw the Metcalf one floating on twitter, so figured I'd just copy it.

Sign me up. Love the aggressive trading and believe it's not far fetched. That would truly make a basketball type we room.

Grant is my dude. Might be my top prospect for GB. He prob goes too 20 though.

Makes a ton of sense. Only spot I threw up was Stokes starting ha.

I think Barron and Grant are my two favorite players for us RD 1 right now. And frankly with Grant's size, I think he is more rare than a corner. The dude can move. Dominant run defender and frankly pretty good pass rusher as well.

He could be life after Kenny Clark.

I loved T'Vondre Sweat last year. I think I might love Grant more this year.

Seems like you got good enough value on the trades. But I'd propose Doubs for Wilson straight up. Wilson is still more about potential (higher ceiling), but Doubs isn't done with his growth either (if the proneness to concus isn't real).

One thing I know is that Grant fills the bill for what Ted Thompson used to say, "God only made so many of those men." We need to get him. But wouldn't he likely go in top 5, top 10 any how? I would just go more than nuts if we get him. I'd rather have him than Wilson and/or Metcalf.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

I think Wilson and DK are definitely the #1 types this team needs. Having two of them might be worse than having 0 of them. I am not adverse to adding two receivers to the room, but I think they can only really go after one alpha-dog or it may end up being counterproductive. With Aaron Glenn and now Steve Wilks in New York, I like the structure of the Seattle trade better to unload Jaire, but I would prefer the package be for Wilson over DK. And I would give him that contract the second he walks in the door. He is a special WR. Just been buried on a garbage team.

this could turn Jordan Love into one of the league's best QB's, it's a two-way deal, QB's make receivers great, but it also works the other way around, great Mock, love the picks :aok:

in Wilsons case I tend to agree, just look how he reacted when the Jets traded for Adams, it seems he doesn't want to compete with another #1 for targets. now Adams is wearing green and gold foot ware every were he goes, seems obvious that the jets locker room has to dump one or the other, and I wouldn't mind being the recipient of either one, Wilson has more future, but I think Adams is a smidge better right now.

I would rather pay the price for a Wilson, Adams or DK then gamble on another high draft choice, we need improvement at the position now, this coming year, not 3 years from now.

Put down the whiskey bottle and turn Madden off, booze and fantasy football don't mix.

Also LOL! How we get a 2nd round pick when we trade it for Wilson??

haaaaaaaaa, never played Madden :rotf:
we have our 2nd, plus get another with the Seattle trade, that seemed to be 004's point :thwap:

the sticker seems to be the contract Seattle would absorb for Jaire, they are cap-strapped, but they also save 18 mil, so it seems like a wash.

and adding those two instantly improves this offense, We are back to more than 1 receiver demanding over-the-top support, which makes every other receiver's job a little easier

If I was the Seahawks I wouldn’t do DK for Jaire and the 3rd straight up. Haired value is probably a 4th rounder at best right now. Jalen Ramsey who is a way better CB and had a history of being more healthy got traded for just a 3rd.

I think the Garret Wilson trade is a stretch too. Romeo Doubs has no trade value. Wilson should bet at least a 1st round pick. I would expect an AJ Brown type of compensation.

I agree the Heidi's will want to resign him, but I believe their free agent starting snaps was 40% of their total starting snaps compared to 14% for us. As much as they will want to improve the corner room, the O-line has to be their priority!
