It's not as bad as it once was because we do sign free agents now, but I still hate that we are always named in every free agent suitor list...

This one doesn’t make sense. Cooper is obviously an every down LB. Quay I do believe is below average player but the Packers are going to give him every opportunity especially when he closed the season somewhat strong before missing time.

This is just some hype for a Wisconsin kid to go to a Wisconsin team.

All depends on the price. We do need a #3/#4 veteran. I don't think McDuffie is back. I could see Eric Wilson being that guy but it could be any other guy as well.

My guess is Baun will be too spendy but I wouldn't be surprised if they look to improve the position.

Agreed looking and interested doesn't mean all in. Dude had a monster difference making year. Show interest and don't over spend. There are some off ball guys in the draft but I'm all for showing interest.

Packers and Wisconsin ties are nil. I don't buy that. If anything maybe they should have looked at some UW lbers ha

Yeah the Packers IMO go out of their way to NOT bring Wisconsin guys to the Packers. At times to our detriment.

Been seeing that the Steelers plan on going after Sam Darnold.

I think whoever signs Darnold is going to have some big time remorse if it’s any sizable contract. He’s barely a guy, despite last season for a good stretch.

Yep. The body of work is atrocious. I'm sure teams will try to negotiate to the one-year wonder possibility, but on the open market, it's not going to happen.

His last two games were bad. Cost him $10 million per year. But will still get $40 mil per. Just the way it is with QBs.

IMO, his first 15 or whatever weren't that good either. On paper yeah, but it was kind of easy. I still can't get over all the pundits just salivating everywhere and showing me how well he was seeing the field and how "fast he was processing" and then proceed to show me plays where he literally have 5 seconds in the pocket with nobody within 3 yards of the perfect semi-circle around him and then hits a wide open players directly in front of his face in the middle of the field LOL. I'm like there was nothing on time or processed about that and there was absolutely zero pressure. Every QB in the NFL can play decently under those conditions.

As soon as opposing offenses put pressure on the Vikings to score points to keep pace or they were able to put actual pressure on the QB on the defensive side, it all reverted to what he is. Someone will pay him a lot, and they're going to regret it if you ask me.

Man, Free Agency is really only a week away. I swear the NFL offseason never used to move like this.

Add Darius Slay Jr to the FA cornerback mix.

With Darius Slay now being available, I imagine that diminishes the trade demand for Jaire. That also will impact the CB market going forward thus further diminishing the demand for Jaire. This was not a good day for the Packers.

One diminishing physical skills but is usually available and great team mentality, the other prime skills, but not always available and suspect attitude. So different yet very similar in a lot of ways for different reasons lol

I’m just curious what you mean by this? How did the offseason used to move? Faster/slower? More chaotic?

everything seems to go faster as ya get older, that's why old people have more accidents

I agree, with playoffs into February, the start of the new season is right around the corner, personally, I like it :aok:

Slay has said that he only wants to play one more year.

Jaire is still good for 4-5 years, even while only playing 50% of the games.

So, it's kinda nil. Some teams would be all about trying to get Slay. A few teams don't want to do a 1-year deal with the guy, even tho he's good. Some teams, I still think, will like what Jaire brings.

Either way, I think we are lucky if we get a 4th for Ja. And yeah, we might end up letting him go. (That said, I am willing to consider there's at least a 25% chance that he plays one more year with GB.)
