He's going to be a Charger, maybe a Ram. He can still play for a contender, of sorts, and stay on the west coast.

GIve him the Julius Peppers contract.
Decent good money, but basically year to year.
Would make Doubs expendable then too, seems like there is still some issue with him and the team, hell, even for Metcalf still.
I normally hate trading for players, cause just like go sign them. 2 1sts for Maxx Crosby and a top of the market contract, or Josh Sweat and you get 2 first round picks, just better process. In that same limelight. Sign Davante, not even counting against comp picks, and then use Doubs as a trade piece, that would actually be very good process.

I do think the Chargers are going to be the most competitive team when bidding for Adams. They have the dove and the need and the desired location for Adams.
Hopefully he had enough bad experiences elsewhere to get past the way he was treated here towards the end. For Adams I personally think he needs to come back and etch his name in Packers glory for some of those career stats he has for the taking.

thought it ended kinda amicably 
haven't heard about any grudges, but then Tae doesn't seem the type to hold one anyway, just figured if Metcalf was around 20, Tae would get more, about 25, would Guty go that high? I think I would on a 3 yr deal, Tae's been healthy and still very productive, make the 3rd yr with a get out clause, coupled with who we have, MLF and Getsy should be able to dial up some explosive pass schemes, use a late rounder on a deep burner to freeze the high guy, Love could become a HOF QB with this group Re: Davante Adams Released

I'd love to get him back, but I feel like several other teams are better bets if it's really about getting a ring. KC, LAC, BUF, and BAL for example.

My understanding from reporters is that Adams was due for an extension and we low balled him on the initial offer prior to the expiring season. He declined and we never negotiated past that point. We made him play his final year on the contract without any fair market offers which is when he said screw you essentially I’m playing elsewhere. I don't see how Guty takes the financial pill that it would require to get Tae. I'd love to see him return. But I really doubt it'll happen. He'll have to return when he signs his 1-day contract to retire as a Packer.

I’d be interested to see those reports because I don’t remember it being nearly as acrimonious as you’re describing. Sure, there was contractual disagreement but the Packers eventually gave in. That’s the sense I get. If anything, it seems DA is warm to the idea of a return. How good is Davante Adams still? I myself honestly have no idea. I watched him very little last year. Any thoughts?
Obviously I have been griping about improving the WR group, so I am for bringing him back. I am sure he has physically declined but he obviously brings veteran leadership and savvy. I am pretty sure he can still get open!

I watched several Jets games. DA is still DA.
