Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2019 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll.

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 10 guys, a new player is added to the list each day).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Have run out of steam here the last couple weeks. Does at least appear they are going to give it a go and try to have a season. Though not sure we're going to get any real news for a while. Usually the start of camps brings tweets and practice reports, you get an idea of rising and falling. Closed camp and no preseason means information will be just a trickle.

I guess I'll go Burks here. Dude realistically could be a starter this year, can't really say that about anyone else up there.

Boyle will be the backup QB minus a meltdown to make the Love pick relevant, if we keep building tomorrows team we wont have the players most needed this season, same with this Runyan pick, imo we shouldn't pick rookies unless we expect them to start, that there a roster lock doesn't mean they deserve a higher roster number then players that obviously are #2 players at a position

course my opinion and a buck fifty wont even get ya a cup of jo these days

Given that we are in the 40's, being a roster lock is becoming well worth the spot.

We were at #40.

Meaning that each position has essentially 3+ players at each position as it is. Lane Taylor and Lucas Patrick are also already ahead of Rynan in this poll for the interior backup slots. Runyan is the 3rd interior backup to go. About as much in agreement with your statement as you can get.

We are at the bottom of the 53 roster now.

P and LS are banned from this because of how poor the conversation becomes.

Many want to do the same with Crosby, which I'm not terribly opposed to, but I can at least see value in the comparison with Crosby. But he's getting old, can always just wait it out and not add any K but Crosby.

Scott gets my vote.

But between the draft disappointments (not using the B-word yet), Jackson seems like the less hopeless case. If he doesn't get it figured out at CB, you can move him out to S... not that he'd have a path to seeing the field there on this team, though.

haha, I know, was just pushing for a laugh  and I'am fine with dropping the punter and LS, heck even the PK, whether old or not, we already know the P and PK are locks, the LS can change, but thats a minor position and often changes anyway during the season.

same with locks at this stage, I just don't place a lot of stock in Rookies playing much so I was trying to round upvotes for a 2nd or 3rd year player

IN case I failed to mention it, Thanks again Waldo for doing this exercise, it's kept this forum active through these tough stretches :aok:
