2020 Training Camp

Do we know if media is allowed at practice tomorrow?

I thought limited media was able to come. However even if they are able to come, depending on who is there we won't learn anything.

I know Aaron Nagler will be there on occasion but I don't know if Andrew Herman will be able to be there. Herman is essentially the only media person of any value at these things anymore.

I'm praying with no reason for optimism that given the circumstances, the media guys will do a better job of splitting up the information and not all just tweet the same 6 plays as each other.

Can’t find the tweet but first offense in 11 on 11 drills was 12 personnel with Turner the turnstile at RT and Taylor at RG.

Josh Jackson already gave up 2 long TDs and a DPI.

Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
The Packers defense didn’t have many injuries last year but losing Raven Greene hurt. He’s back, sleeveless, and constantly around ball. Had an end zone PBU of 12

Jim Owczarski

@JimOwczarski
Freshly paid Kenny Clark is being more than a bit disruptive today for the #Packers

The defense has brought energy today.

Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
Nice play in man coverage from #Packers S Adrian Amos, reaching around Davante Adams at the pylon to knock away Aaron Rodgers’ pass without contacting the WR. A jump ball Amos wins.

@zachkruse2
Very important uniform number news: Packers WR Darrius Shepherd, who once wore No. 10, is now No. 9. Jordan Love is the lone No. 10.
Jim Owczarski

@JimOwczarski
Replying to @BillHuberSI and 2 others
Roster projections aren’t my bag but Ento was the right track before he got hurt last camp. I still remember the play he got hurt on.
Aaron Nagler

@AaronNagler
Mostly boilerplate stuff here but one nugget from Murphy: Just over 80% of Packers season ticket holders chose to opt out when the team sent out the survey regarding 2020 a few weeks ago.

Biggest news imo today was Ervin working with the wrs and not the backs. He even lined up in slot 1st time around. I freaking love this idea

Jim Owczarski

@JimOwczarski
As we learn how players fulfill the physical component of coming off thr reserve/COVID list, #Packers kicker Mason Crosby has his helmet today.
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
Jace Sternberger is here but not practicing.
Rob Demovsky

@RobDemovsky
It would appear Packers K Mason Crosby is off the COVID-19 reserve list. He has a helmet for practice. TE Jace Sternberger, who also was on that list, is here but not practicing. https://es.pn/3kH3Nki

@RobDemovsky
Billy Turner opened at RT with Lane Taylor at RG. After a couple of reps, Rick Wagner jumped at RT and Turner slid back inside to guard. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41097359-4
Bill Huber
@BillHuberSI
No surprise but a rotation on OL. Taylor at RG and Turner at RT; Turner at RG and Wagner at RT.
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
Lane Taylor started practice at RG, Billy Turner at RT. Then Turner slid to RG and Rick Wagner came in at RT.

Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
Present but not participating: Crosby, RB Patrick Taylor, Curtis Bolton, Simon Stepaniak, Yosh Nijman, Sternberger and Hester

Equanimeous St Brown and Lane Taylor both working. #Packers
Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
One thing you don’t need pads to observe: A.J. Dillon (28) is a big dude.
Jim Owczarski

@JimOwczarski
So, to recap for #Packers camp:
• K Mason Crosby has come off the reserve/COVID list and is practicing

• TE Jace Sternberger & DL Trayvon Hester remain list but are on the field observing.

• LS Hunter Bradley & LB Greg Roberts were not seen.

Jim Owczarski

@JimOwczarski
And:

NFI
• OL Simon Stepaniak
• RB Patrick Taylor

PUP
• LB Curtis Bolton
• OL Yosh Nijman

remain on their respective lists for the #Packers
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
For what it’s worth, Tim Boyle is second in line for QB reps, not Jordan Love.
Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
Finally seeing Josiah Deguara in person and I’m officially intrigued. Broad shoulders. “Robust” Robert Tonyan also looks good, filled out frame #Packers

Interesting. I'm not too worried about definitions like this, but this seems like a more natural fit.

Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
A busy individual period for #Packers third-round pick Josiah Deguara. After rotating with tight ends in position drills, he slides over to fullback in routes on air. Then he gets a fullback rep in team drills. He’ll see a good bit of both.
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
Oren Burks the second ILB alongside Christian Kirksey to start 11-on-11s. Lane Taylor also the first-team RG, for now, with Billy Turner at RT.
Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
If you had Tim Boyle hitting MVS onA deep ball on the sixth team rep of camp, congrats to you #Packers #TBLS
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
No video allowed, but let’s just say the Tim Boyle experience has begun. Just launched a perfect 45-yard bomb to Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a big gain in 11-on-11s. Josh Jackson in coverage.

Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
First deep ball of camp, Marquez Valdes-Scantling beats Josh Jackson down the middle of the field, Tim Boyle’s pass falls perfectly in his hands... and MVS makes the catch. A nice start for a WR who was searching last year.

Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
No pads today but Dillon looks so smooth through traffic, powerful and decisive
Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
Jordan Loves first pass in team is an underneath completion to Travis Fulgham #Packers
Jason Wilde

@jasonjwilde
If you’re a Marquez Valdes-Scantling fan, the #Packers third-year WR just caught a deep ball down the middle of the field from No. 2 QB Tim Boyle. Great throw (more of a rainbow than laser) but an important first catch for a guy who struggled during the second half of 2019.
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
Maybe my eyes deceive me, but Rashan Gary sure looks to have leaned out a bit.

Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
You can tell #Packers have plans for Rashan Gary and Josiah Deguara, getting both involved early
Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
As Kevin King predicted yesterday, Chandon Sullivan getting first-team reps as slot corner.

Zach Kruse

@zachkruse2
LaFleur loves Tyler Ervin. Could he be the part-time slot/full-time gadget guy for the offense?

Bill Huber
@BillHuberSI
Might be first day of camp but Rodgers with a gem of a TD to Lazard. Jackson with excellent coverage but didn’t matter.
Matt Schneidman

@mattschneidman
Not to overreact, but at this rate Tim Boyle might start over Aaron Rodgers. Just fired a laser to Reggie Begelton over the middle for a TD during 11-on-11s. Ka’dar Hollman in coverage.
Wes Hodkiewicz

@WesHod
Tim Boyle, big in Canada, connects with Begelton on a post. Lazard looked in nice pass from Rodgers in middle on previous play
Ryan Wood

@ByRyanWood
Didn’t take Aaron Rodgers long to have his first “wow” throw of camp. He threads a pass past CB Josh Jackson, who WR Allen Lazard beat on a post for a TD in red zone.
