Aaron Jones Watch

Aaron Jones has fired his agent. The new one has not yet been named.
He's either upset that a deal hasn't been done yet and is going to hire someone to close the deal.
Or he's upset that the offers are low, and he's going to find someone to find him the most money.
Should be a situation worth monitoring for clues on his likelihood of return

Was just gunna post this somewhere.
Sign him up to something a little less than what Cook got.

It'd be great if he went super dumb and represented himself in a new deal with the Packers.

He is not on Cook's level.
Watching that Bucs game today, Cook is just such a force out there.

Yes, but it is also now a year removed from Cooks.

That is very interesting. No idea if that should be read as a good thing of bad thing for the prospect of Jones remaining a Packer.
I would just tag Jones at this point if no deal gets done. I can’t imagine he’s completely thrilled with his usage though as a packer. But he always seems to be a good sport.

Normal year, I’m probably for that, next year, we could get his cap number like 5-6 million lower on an extension.

Well I would hope to get a deal done as option A, but would you rather lose him than tag him? I would probably prefer to tag.

I literally don’t think we can tag him without releasing someone like a Preston Smith.

Isn't Rosenhaus generally well liked by most owners/GMs? Seriously, I thought I read that years ago, around the time TO was doing sit-ups in his driveway

I think he is overall respected, but he is also connected with a lot of players during hold outs and getting max value of contracts who is not afraid to play hardball to get it.
Honestly Rose does what his client wants and will generally deliver it to them. So if they want to stay with the team...he will make it happen. If they want max money...he will sell their soul to make it happen.

So what's the problem again?

Honestly, while I wish we could somehow get Jones back below market rate, RB careers are usually so short that this is likely his only chance for a big boy money deal. Jones would be wise to max the cash.

10 touches Sunday, why would a RB like Jones stick with a team that gives him 10 touches, seems obvious the FO is limiting Jones in hopes to be able to curtail his contract demands, he hired Rosenhous because his last agent wasn't forceful enough, Jones is probably history now.

This part is sarcasm, right? I'm sure Jones wants to be a feature back. I don't doubt he knows that may not happen in GB. But if he didn't want to stay he wouldn't be going through all this trouble to negotiate and stay. He's trying to get what he wants and stay with the Packers, plain and simple. None of us know what that is (but I imagine its a lot).
FO limiting Jones touches is ridiculous. Call me naive, but I seriously doubt that is happening. If anyone is limiting him, it's LaFluer. But that's only because Williams has become a tremendous blocker in the pass game.

no, I'am simply echoing what Leroy Butler said, and he admited it's just a opinion, very few passes to Jones and limited run touches, and Jones has shown to be a very good blocker, just as good as Williams.
If I where Jones i'd rather not get tagged, I'd expect he wants a 3 year extension, obviously he's upset with contract negociations hense the hiring of Rosenhuas, how did the Packers respond (team probably had a idea this was happening last week) they gave him 10 touches, just a coincidence? I doubt it.
