I usually don't do many of these but I will take a crack at it because they are fun. Here is how I would like the draft to go for the Green Bay Packers.
1. Pick 29 - Packers trade with the Miami Dolphins to go from pick 29 to 36. Miami wants 3 first round picks as they go offense with their first two selections and pay a premium because they have draft capital to get their defensive edge guy. I think defensive edge could be a spot that teams covet as KC and Jacksonville likely would like an edge as well. Heck even the Bucs could go that route.
Green Bay gives up Pick 29 and 135 (4th round) and receives Pick 36 and 81 (3rd round). It's about 40 points to the good for the Packers but Miami really wants their edge. Packers do it because Bateman and Newsome are off the board.
1. Pick 36 - Asante Samuel Jr CB - 5" 10". 185 Pounds.
Asante didn't have the best Pro Day, but his college tape is solid. He has an attitude when he plays and he has strong blood lines. We normally see players with good blood lines do well. Clay Matthews. TJ Watt. John Runyan and most recently the Bucs are enjoying their strong blood line draft pick. Asante's father was one of the best CB's in the league 15 to 20 years ago and I see that aggression, attitude and demeanor I want in the CB backfield. He and Alexander can mirror each other and !@#$ opponents off. What's more, the guy isn't afraid of getting his nose dirty and can play as both outside and the slot. I want CB's who can play everywhere and Samuel is one of those guys.
And lordy does he have hips. He should at the least compete against Sullivan immediately to be that nickle role.
2. Pick 62 - Ifeatu Melifonwu DB - 6' 3". 210 Pounds.
Ifeatu is also from bloodlines but his brother wasn't as good of a safety so he isn't getting attention. His tape vs Dyami Brown is really good. He has good hands, is huge but surprisingly has really good hips and explosion. You just don't see this type of athlete often. There is fear he could be like a Josh Jackson but I think he is more athletic than Jackson. He is also clearly a better tackler than Kevin King is. We would have 4 CB's at the least who are willing to get their nose dirty. I like Ifeatu as a fit because he has the hips for a big guy but is also simply a big guy which will come in handy as we don't want all corners at 5' 10" or shorter in the long term. If outside CB doesn't work out, he could also make a play for a safety or nickle role. This is the year to start growing some CB talent so they can step in toward the end of the season and let us move on from poorer quality players in 2022.
Other consideration here is Jabril Cox.
3. Pick 81 - From Miami- Jay Tufele IDL - 6' 2". 310 Pounds.
I don't know what I am missing about Tufele. I think he is such a good fit for the Packers to develop as a Kenny Clark backup but also line up at other spots along our line. I really like to see DLinmen who have motors. I am really over the "if the team can just motivate him he will be great". No more of that. I loved Clark's tape in 2016 and I love Tufele's too. Personally I think he will be gone by here but a lot of places have him in that Round 2 or 3 area. See the Cheesehead TV scouting report. He is really strong at stopping the run but also has the ability to be a threat in the passing game.

4. Pick 92 - Walker Little OT - 6' 7" - 310 Pounds.
Tall, athletic, and displays terrific footwork in pass protection. Intelligent, displays terrific vision, and quickly picks up stunts or blitzes. Active with his hands, keeps his feet moving, and keeps his head on a swivel. Smooth and fluid pulling across the line of scrimmage, easily moves around the field, and possesses great blocking range. Quick to the second level, redirects to linebackers and works blocks. This guy has the makings of being an elite NFL tackle.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the bit to see him go way earlier than this. The reason he may fall is because he has played like 1 game since 2018. So there is risk there and teams will need to determine when to pull the trigger. If he is still here at the bottom of the 100 list I think we should pull the trigger. He can use 2021 as a growth year but hopefully provide us that swing tackle if needed and he maybe even would be in the battle to start at least the first month or two.
5. Pick 142 (4th Comp) - Javian Hawkins RB - 5' 9" - 195 pounds.
This dude is athletic as hell. Here is your jet sweep guy. Here is your "can take it to the house at any time guy". Just get him in space and let him do his thing. He has elite speed, quickness, elusiveness and footwork and fortunately is over 185 pounds. He hasn't returned but his makeup makes it look like he should return. His weakness is poor vision and ball security. Yes these are not things you want but if he had good vision he would be a top 50 pick. He has the skills you want that MLF could design easy plays for him to get him in space and get him moving. Definitely a guy worth it at this spot. I don't think he falls much below this spot with his athleticism.
6. Pick 173 (5th Round) - Cornell Powell WR - 6' 0" - 205 pounds.
We don't go WR until round 5. Would have liked to address WR earlier but I just couldn't pass up the big boys if they are actually there. I don't know where Powell will end up. He is old. He sat on the bench his entire career at Clemson until this year but then finally showed he has some skills when given the chance. I view him as a guy who could develop as a higher end WR and I don't think that is very common late in the draft. He seems like a great route runner and student of the game. He has great route running and hands.
7. Pick 178 (5th Comp) - Pick that Center that YoHo likes. We need one and I am not gonna look at IOL.
8. Pick 214 (6th Round) - Austin Watkins WR - 6' 2". 210 pounds.
This guy is a redshirt pick. He is raw and probaly will suck at route running. Probably won't contribute on ST's either as he didn't play it at UAB. But who cares. What he does have his elite athleticism and is REALLY good at catching the ball with his hands. He can learn to run routes which I would rather have than "learn how to catch". Likely would be the 6th WR on the roster. Maybe even Psquad but someone to develop in the future.
9. Pick 220 (6th Comp) - Garret Wallow LB - 6' 2". 230 pounds.
Former safety that converted to linebacker. He has remained a loose mover and it’s easy to see that he’s a former defensive back. An outstanding blitzer, he has the closing speed in order to finish plays in a hurry by bringing targets down to the ground. Wallow’s speed to the ball is slightly above average and he has the speed necessary to chase down ball-carriers. His instincts are still developing, but he shows an understanding of concepts being developed in front of him. One of his greatest assets is his athleticism in all types of coverage. He’s proven to have the awareness to play zone, but also the elusiveness in order to sustain in man coverage. A consistent tackler, he runs his face and chest through rushers and has lots of hitting power behind his body. Wallow isn’t shy at all with showing up in run support. Naturally, Wallow is still feeling his way out at the position even though he’s had experience at the WILL (weak-side) spot. He still often takes false steps and there are periods of guessing rather than reading and reacting to the actions that are presented in front of him.
I like him more than Ty Summers.
