Hey y'all. Another draft trip in the books. Just wanted to share our experience.
I wont bore with the covid crap unless some want to know more but what a joke. Depending on how much money establishments paid factored in on their covid restrictions. One place would have a sitting only no mask when across the street they had NO mask anything. (Harry Buffalo and it was awesome all week!!!!!!)
Compared to all other draft trips it was pretty dead esp Wednesday. It was a ghost town. Again covid hurt them. One bar own said they expected about 400k but with covid it went to 100k. I think that was pretty spot on. Many places didnt even amp up for the party. They didnt push bands or draft friendly stuff. (Besides harry buffalo) being open they thought was enough smh. Saturday in the flatts was rocking but most everywhere else around town was pretty easy to get in and out.
The pro football HOF was amazing. Again dead and no real draft draw but that was great. We werent rushed and enjoyed every second. They only show about 3% of their inventory at any given time so the history and memorabilia is insane. Every fan needs to go.
The food and ppl were awesome. We didnt have a bad meal. I was stunned at the food and I'm a foodie. Ate 2x at Rowley Inn. The bar began in 1906 and its just a great vibe. Also right across the street from the Christmas Story house. Pretty cool
Best breakfast was a little place called Luckys. Its been on triple d and a few other food shows. Amazing food. Had a good pizza at Edison pizza.
Ppl over all were really nice and cool. I will say those brown fans sure love their team and chant any place any time. Also they really like the packers and everyone of them either want to go to Lambeau Field or if they have been talk about how great it was. Really a good fan base. Both the browns and Indian stadiums were pretty nice.
Ok my big rant. Cleveland as a city is well... A dump. I hate to say it and have friends that live there or close but wow what a really bad area. Ive been to a lot of places and this town is on the bottom. Some areas where like a 3rd world country. They are just adding more new homes on top of already tight areas. We couldnt even get out of the truck at our rented house. Its tight its dirty and just rough. Again great food and ppl.
Cant wait for Vegas in 2022
