What is happening with Adams' contract?
Does anyone else feel he may holdout? If not training camp definitely mini camp?
Maybe the receiver group not at OTAs has more to do with Adams not having his contract done.

Also interesting to know what is going on with Julio Jones. When asked by Shannon Sharpe what his situation in Atlanta looks like, Julio Jones said “No, I’m out of there.”
When asked where he would like to go, Jones said right now, he just wants to win. Jones is currently under contract with the Falcons for three more seasons.
Interesting times. Atlanta needs a new QB. Packers need a John Jefferson quality #2 receiver. We have a couple of #1 draft pick QBs, and one is aging . Cap space factors, etc. Nah! -->

GB immediately off the Julio trade list if Rodgers isn't here.
Don't want to lose the thread into another Rodgers thread.

I don't see Davante holding out. But you never know.
My opinion, and not a popular one, is he plays this year and is gone next.

I could see him holding out a little, like maybe the mini camp but not training camp.
As for the longer term, too many variables yet for me to make a call.

Yeah, I don't have much of any confidence in my call there. But if I had to make one, it's that he'll play out the year and get a big payday elsewhere. He'll possibly hold out if he wants to stick around and get a deal here.

I don’t think he holds out, and I think he is gone after this season.

Yeah, Adams's most recent statements make it sound to me like he doesn't actually want to commit to being here long-term if Rodgers is not also in the picture (and he likely won't be after this season). Good chance he and Rodgers are a package deal.
... come to think of it, Adams is a prime candidate for tag 'n trade.
But I don't think Adams' departure will be for a lack of willingness of our FO in keeping him here long-term. Adams would be *really* nice to have around for the young QB.

They won't be able to afford to tag him.

Courtesy of poor roster moves like resigning a RB when you drafted one in the 2nd round, pushing cap space back on role players, and adding void years.
Poor roster management.

Even if 12 is already off the books bc he has been dealt?

I think Davante follows where Rodgers gets traded to in spring 2022

More relevant question for tomorrow after we see if he comes to mandatory Otas or not.

I resent the suggestion that I wait to form an opinion on something should wait until that something actually occurs.

But you will never be wrong if you wait until you know the answer before having an opinion.

As an American I form my opinions before I even know the question.

And to double down further, I will use key words in my google search to find articles that support my opinion to impress others why I am so right rather than trying to take in and be skeptical of all information to form the opinion.
