Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2020 will be in brackets.
Here's how this works:
Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll.
Simply voting is not enough!
Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 10 guys, a new player is added to the list each day).
Here's the thing.
There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Martin and Lowry, because they are the next best players.

Got the list back up to 20. Let me know if I'm missing someone that's likely to have a role.
I still think Runyan is our starting RG, I have to keep up the votes on him.
Martin I think is ILB #2, but that is less everydown than RG, ILB #2 gets subbed out at times.
Big Dean is going to get a lot of snaps whether he's a starter or not. I think Martin will be more impactful on a per snap basis though.
Josiah was laser targeted by MLF. He is absolutely going to have a role. My only concern is that Dillon could feasibly do part of the role as well, and that might be one of the avenues MLF is pursuing to have Dillon and Jones on the field at the same time. I'm sure he can see even more clear than us just how insanely talented the Dillon/Jones duo is (IMHO it is one of the best backfields ever assembled. Not quite Taylor/Hornung yet though, but give them time. Jones' contract ensures a few years of continuity).
Royce Newman is in the "he's lining up where!!!" zone right now that guys like Sitton and Bak had back in the day, where it was clear basically from the day they joined their first few practices that they were going to be factor. Sure other guys had this and turned out to be duds, but it certainly is a good sign that they might have unearthed another mid-round OL hit.

Runyan is probably my next pick. But I'm intrigued by all the time they are giving Newman too. And I'm not above voting for Jean-Charles here too. I'm betting he has a bigger impact this year than Stokes does.

I went Deguara and Sullivan. Deguara is the starting FB who offers a ton of versatility as a guy who can play TE or in the slot. I think he plays a significant role on offense as a guy who does a lot of dirty work.
Sullivan is still in line to be the starting nickel I think. I would be surprised if they moved Alexander inside to the nickel. It would give them their best starting 3 likely but you take your best cover guy off the best receiver in most cases. You don’t want King or Stokes inside I would think. Jean-Charles has potential but you would be starting 2 rookie CBs. I think Sullivan probably gets the nod at nickel and he was very good 2 years ago as a rookie. Just pretty average last year. This is a huge year for him to show where he is as a player in the league.

Oops, I really mucked-up the poll. Now it's a four way tie!
Lowery and Runyan for me.

Mean Dean and Jon Runyan

Lowery averages around 40 tackles a season, and 2 to 4 sacks, sounds like Barry wants to do a bunch of 50 fronts, Lowery will see a ton of action
Sullivan will share time in the slot with ?????? whom ever, I still think Alexander can move in or out depending where the opposing #1 WR sets up, and Sullivan is better in the slot then King or any rookie, so he'll also get a lot of play time.
I like peddle to the metal Martin, but he waste his speed to often with poor angles and poor decisions, but he's on deck with DEquara.

Runyan definitely looked good when out there (to me, at least) but they just are not giving him a long look. I can't have confidence that he will start until the coaches do something to signal that he might.
Meanwhile, they are working Newman into the starting spot very early, and Green Bay is money with Round 4 OL.
Sullivan gets my other vote. He is solid in the nickel. More importantly, as it relates to Stokes pushing to see the field, Sullivan is a lot less likely to play poorly enough to get benched than King (not to mention, Stokes is better suited to taking over at King's spot than Sully's).
No to Dean. He and Lancaster as basically neck-and-neck IMO. They both are no small part of why I am more excited about a 5th-round rookie DT than I ought to be. There are plenty more impactful options than those two.

'Switched from Newman to Love just to spite Lowry.

I like Runyan Im just not confident he starts or is the next guy up at OG. They have so many options on the interior it could be anyone. He was next guy up last season which is encouraging. They still went Patrick over him throughout the year though.

Interesting; I'm on Sullivan and Deguara now. I'm not even sure Martin will beat out Summers, who by all reports was ahead of him thus far and who seems to be prepping for green dot responsibilities at least as a secondary option.
I like pairing Runyan and Patrick. With Runyan lining up mostly on the left and Patrick mostly on the right, I can't say Runyan seems more likely to start than Patrick right now. Putting them at the same level seems reasonable.

Not to mention drafting Newman in the 4th while knowing what they had in him.

Until I see Love do anything it is hard for me to rank him. I have a feeling a lot of you are underestimating what M. Lewis brings to this team.

Newman was drafted to play OT if not this season then next. IMO Runyan is strictly a guard even though he played OT in college. As for Patrick, I think his focus will be on center, in case Meyers isn't ready
