Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2020 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll.

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 10 guys, a new player is added to the list each day).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Josiah Deguara. He’s the starting FB. He’s gonna be played all over the formation and LaFleur has a role for him. Also going to probably be a core teams player.

I also went with Patrick. I’d be shocked if the Packers go with two brand new starters out of the gate on the line. He’s not great but he’s steady enough not to make critical mistakes.

Kamal, and I will start the DeVondre train. He is going to start for us this year.

Wait, so if Campbell is starting, why vote for Martin first? How many LBs do you think we're giving starters' snaps to this year?

I view both around the same level, and they will both make starts this year.

Maybe we can hope that Mercedes will be a top 40 player on this poll.

Patrick and Lewis, I expect the TE snap count to be a repeat of last year.

Patrick is my first choice again but this time I went with Lancaster as second.

I went Martin and Patrick, though I think Patrick will be first off the bench with Runyan starting at RG.

Oh nice, Patrick is pulling away.

With the 6th OL coming off the board, I thought it'd be a nice time for a summary...

We have selected:
 • 2 Quarterbacks
 • 4 Wide Receiver
 • 4 CBs
 • 5 Offensive Linemen (Patrick will be 6th)
 • 3 Interior Defensive Linemen
 • 3 Edge Rushers
 • 2 Running Backs
 • 2 Safeties
 • 1 Tight End
 • 1 Inside Linebacker

Who's ranking is that, Waldo, yours or from some media source?

I'd move Jones from 7 to 4. I'd drop Bakhtiari even healthy from 4 to below Jenkins. King wouldn't even be on my list. Turner should be near the bottom.

The next two below that? I'll go with Mercedes Lewis and T.D. Slaton except I can't figure out how to vote.

I tend to agree with you. There is no guarantee that Bak will not have lost agility. Not every player gets back to 99% and no one gets to 100%.

King is unlikely to start after midseason and may not even start on opening day. Turner belongs in the late 30's.

It’s the forum’s. Every week day Waldo posts a survey and we vote for who is next up and debate it. The percentages next to the name shows the share of the core received by the winners.

The poll is a forum tradition to pass the time before camp starts. Fun to look back after the season and go :thwap: :)

Yoop has been so preoccupied with the Aaron talk that he hasn't even had time to bang the table for Mason Crosby in this poll, yet.

This is right around his normal spot and he has really only seemed to get better with age, even if a few yards have come off his top distance.

haha, this was good for a laugh, in the words of the late great Michael McCarthy " every year is a new team" and P Smith, and K King are the biggest reasons why, players just don't play the same year in and year out.

unless your name is Mercedes Lewis, he seems to be one of the most consistent players we've had in years, ya know he'll knock someone on there geister on every blocking assignment, and be ready for a short dump pass when called upon, but now most voters here have passed him by for some Rookie that really hasnt proved a thing.
