What records and milestones are about to fall or be pushed out as a result of an extra game?

Jared Goff gunna break George Blanda's record of 42 interceptions in a season.

Henry can challenge the rushing yard title if he plays like he has the past two years
The passing yards will 100% fall within 2 years. That's always going to be challenged.
I'm thinking that WR targets or individual receptions might hit, but the prime candidates for that--Adams, Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, D. Hopkins--are mostly on teams with enough weapons to spread the ball more (or in Thomas' case will miss half the season), so maybe not this year.
I'd like to see more emphasis on "per game, full season" numbers coming out of this, which would also bring some old 14-game metrics back into the fore of public attention. Not saying keep those INSTEAD of the total numbers, by any means, but highlight players who have the best numbers per game over a full season, regardless of length (meaning guys who didn't miss time)

I agree. But they won't do it.
Media is about selling a product. It's easier to sell a product of records with really large season numbers aided by an extra game.
Like 3+ TDs average per game is an AMAZING accomplishment.
But for whatever reason, 50+ TDs in a season is a lot more sexy. so TV will show that stat rather than 2.94 TDs per game in 2021.

Agree. When LaDainian Tomlinson broke Hornung's single "season" scoring record - he did it over a 16 game season vs 14 for Paul. The LT acolytes all said tough &%$@, the record is broken. Looking forward to seeing that record broken again - and the ensuing whining from LT fans.

Jerry Rice had 22 TD receptions in 12 games in 1987.
Reggie White had 21 sacks in 12 games in 1987.
Unbelievable per game stat lines for each of those two.

I think completions is probably safe still. It would take one hell of a scheme QB combo to touch Brees. Passing yards is as good as gone. TDs will go I think in the next decade or so. Theres always one QB now doing 45+. Just takes one high powered offense and a poor division.
I still think Rushing stats are safe. I would like to see if Henry can do it again. No one has ran for 2k twice. LTs TD record is just insane and in a game where we pass now and rotate backs I just dont see it happening.
Receptions leaders are going to change yearly I think. Only a matter of time for yards. TDs proably eventually go but I dont see it happening anytime soon.
Interceptions will never be sniffed. I could see the sack record falling eventually.

I think we will see another 1,000/1,000 season from a RB in the near future. CMC, Kamara and others have been close in recent years.

Most injuries per game / snap played will be broken. Not sure where that statistic is kept. You would think the analytics geeks would have that somewhere.
