I have no doubt in my mind had that doinked FG actually gone through for the Pats, Brady would’ve led the Bucs back to a game winning FG anyway. The doink simply saved us from seeing replays of Brady heroics all week long. I’ll take that personal win.

Mac threw more completions in a row than any rookie in 30 years. Bill should have shown confidence in him and gone for it on 4th and 3. Odds had to have been higher than a 56 yarder in the rain plus giving Tom time!!

I gotta say NE might have found their future QB in this young man. Too bad the Bucs won. But Tampa isn't the juggernaut they were last year.

Nor were they this time last year. It was the end of the season when they put it all together and were a dominating team.

I'm so mad that was a good game. I spent all week annoyed at the hype and planned to go to bed early last night, but nope.

Also annoyed that it was close and good and the Pats couldn't pull it off. They needed to go for it on 4th and 3 to a) get closer, and b) bleed the clock. There's no way you give Brady a minute and two timeouts when all he needs is a FG and win. Even if Folk had made the kick it was too early, and too far to attempt in that weather.

Absolutely. I was more surprised Belichick decided to go for the FG there than to go for a 1st down. This is the same guy who went for it on 4th down deep in his own territory against Peyton Manning several years ago because he feared what would happen if he punted the ball back to him. This scenario was eerily similar against an historically good QB he knows intimately well yet he opted for the long FG attempt in poor weather. I thought it was a strange decision last night and still do this morn.

I've been a fan in those rain games.

I gotta say. I wasn't jealous of any fan in those stands night. Those games are miserable. Give me snow any day.

You speak the truth. I was at that rainy playoff game several years ago against SF (I think) and I was soaked to the bone. Snow games are fun.
