Go Long Article - The Majik Man's Final Comeback

Post by NCF »

So sad that things have not been better for him. Nicely written article that catches up on the current hell that it sounds like the Majik Man is living in.

thanks, great article, even greater player, for the love of the game exemplifies players like Majkowski, they willingly play through injury till they no longer are able, to bad in Majiks case because he was so talented, tough after football life, lots of health issues that will typically get worse with age.

I doubt we'd see 37 year old QB's back in those years as we do now, people consider Favre the Iron man because he played through the 90's when abusing QB's was more allowed.

Thanks for posting that story! Majkowski lives near my grandchildren in the Atlanta area and my daughter was telling me about meeting his wife. She mentioned about how much pain he endures every single day. He was a really good QB when healthy. I really wish him the best!

Thanks for the article. Makes me want to find something special autographed by the Majik Man for display amongst Bart and Brett.

Oh man, that is a good article. I'm glad he's working to stay mentally healthy and I hope he continues his lawsuits.

Once again, however, we see that the NFL owners are a-holes and the NFLPA is run by a bunch of lickspittles.

Thanks for posting. Never knew that part of his story. Met Majik twice. First time a few years ago when my wife got an autograph from him the week he was inducted into the Packer Hall of Fame. Second time was more recently — 2018 I think — after I started working for the Packers. I was working a Saturday afternoon in front of the Hall of Fame in the Atrium on game weekend, when I noticed Majik standing with a group of people nearby. Turned out to be his wife and other family members. Nobody else around seemed to realize who he is. Then he walked over to me and said, with a little smile, “Do you know how much admission is for the Hall of Fame?” Was he testing me to see if I knew who he was? I smiled back. “Pretty sure you can get in there for free, Majik,” I said. He smiled and walked back to his group. “Loved watching you play, Majik,” I called over to him. At that, several people around us noticed him and soon he and his family were surrounded by fans. After reading this story, I’m extra happy I did that.
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff
