The Broncos, for all their "hype," are garbage. They can't keep it close against a RB3 and QB2...?

Yeah, that was unimpressive. But then again, I never understood the notion that they were a QB away, anyway. That was a fiction written by those who look only for shiny toys (all the draft picks spent on offensive weapons)

Chase is a phenom. I’m calling it right now. In 2 years he is the leagues best receiver in the league.

Also, I'm calling a Lions upset win today. I know the game has technically started, but it's still early enough that I think my prediction counts. Also I predicted it irl before the game started, just hadn't written it here yet.

There's a Finnish drinking song that goes:

"Keep boasting my old friend
We know you all the way
If later you claim it was all in jest
We'll believe in you all the same."

Pretty sure I've never used the "I was just joking" excuse lol

I think the point of the song (and it's a drinking song, so the point apart from the drinking) is: Whatever. Predict what you will. Wrong or right, the real value is fun among friends.

Good to see the Bears cycle of misery continues another 4 years with Fields. 3 fumbles and a pick in a quarter and a half.

I had a small fear that the Bears would let Fields learn under Dalton, the perfect "shoulder the blame stopgap" QB, and Fields would become something.

Instead...

They still suck.

Oh yeah, I didn't take it as a dig, it just made me think I had never used that before

It would be perfect for us if the Bears end this season close to .500 and Fields continues to suck but has occasional flashes, because ideally we can get another 2 years out of Nagy and Fields before they move on
