How come we never have one of those 3:05 starts, we are always 3:25 when I’m the afternoon slot.

Really wanna see the D continue to rip here. Ideally special teams can them out and O can control some clock.

Ya, I know. We didn't have a 3:05 game last year either. No idea why.

It would be shocking if Russ WASNT a little rusty right? I mean he hasn’t thrown in a month until like yesterday...

I think the late afternoon headliner game (nationally broadcast) gets the 3:25 slot. The Packers are typically the headliner game. All the other peasant teams play at 3:05.

That’s my guess anyway.

3:25 is Prime Time Double Header Slot.

3:05 is the west coast's version of the "noon" game.

You never see a noon game on the west cost because that would be 10:00 local. So instead, they give the sub-prime west coast games a 3:05 slot which is their noon game.

If the Vikings play at noon and the Packers play at SF at 3:05, FOX will air the Vikings game but not the Packers game in MN, ND, SD, IA because FOX would only have a single game for that Sunday and CBS would have the Double Header.

Plus, late games already start too early. They bumped it up from 3:15 to 3:25 to try and take away late noon games, but they didn't' figure in Murphy's law that it is a nature's law that noon game must go into OT and have 4 injuries and 2 reviews to lengthen the game as long as possible to block the 1st and 2nd quarter of the Packers 3:25 game.

Interesting, 2015 was the last time we had a 3:05 CST game, it was at Oakland. Before that was 2006 at San Fran. Crazy.

go pak go Nice Info. Thanks!

The Cardinals at Browns game a couple weeks ago was the first time I can ever remember a 3:05 game in the EST time zone.

My guess they did this due to trying to capture as much Phoenix TV market as possible knowing they likely wouldn't get as much viewers from Cleveland.

It was strange to see that.

so far every early game that went to long has been blocked and switched to the Packers on schedule for me, and the announcement was that it was under contract to do so, just wondering, is that a local TV contract, a Fox contract? whatever, just glad I havn't missed the start of a late Packer game.

When your TV market is in the immediate local team area (so all of Wisconsin who doesn't pick up MN stations, and the UP of Michigan, you will get the local game no matter what.

Am I the only one that's at 50/50 Rodgers is back for this game? If his ramp up in workouts this week and workout Saturday don't go well, he's going to sit. Seems everyone thinks him playing is a foregone conclusion.

Thanks, last year though I missed the start of several games and my local market has been Packers now for years, in fact they've contracted to carry all the PS games for years now to, just thought maybe it had something to do with Fox's contract, whatever, I like it

probably the best thing for Love is to play, probably the best thing for us is that Rodgers does, but I'd like to see more of Love, I'd think Lafluer and Guty would too, but all games are like must win games when ya consider seeding.

Personally I'd bet Love is vastly improved over last week as long as MLF designs a better game plan.

i hope he has to wait another week. I want to win, and I think that is possible with Love at QB. But i would rather see if Lafleur and Love can rebound in their second start together. Id like to get one more game getting a good look at how coach adjusts, and how Love settles down...at home.

If I know we will get the win, I would rather have Love deliver it.

But ultimately we need the win. I am confident Love can deliver a W if our defense holds the Hawks in Check (like 20 points or less). But you just never know with Wilson. He could have that 28+ points game where we need production on offense to keep up.
