What happens if players get positive in the Playoffs? I mean wouldn‘t that be the ultimate disaster if your starting QB or other marquee players are positive and would need to sit? It is one thing in the season, it is another in the do-or-die postseason. Do the Playoffs have different rules about Covid? Else I would literally single out anyone in some remote hotel to be sure. Thoughts?

As of right now, rules will not change.

I'm fully preparing myself for the ultimate banter timeline when Rodgers gets put on the Covid list just before the Superbowl and Love has to play.
The meltdown in Packer land if we then lose will be off the charts.
Now *that* would be quite a legacy to leave in Green Bay should Rodgers not return.

Only thing different I have heard is that the league has looked at moving the SB to TX if CA or LA County restrict gatherings.

I am expecting Brady to test positive in the next few weeks.

I honestly bet his "fixer" Alex Guerro or however you spell his name is probably got him some system that passes the covid test even if he has it. That or brady is the type that hasnt been around anyone, including his family, for the entire season.

I am really disturbed. Why is nobody concerned? No team would stand a chance without its starting QB in the Playoffs. And if you lose your second most important player - I mean imagine we lose Adams before the NFC game against Tampa. That'd be as well. Imagine this happens before the SB. I really thought the NFL had some Playoff rule, like: we test on 10/1/22 for the last time and then never again during the postseason. It could totally harm the whole (NFL) product.
p.s. It may be ridiculous to ask but just in theory: if Rodgers goes COVID and you could choose between Favre and Love...it is Love without a sec of thought? (Note: I haven't followed Favre since he retired, so if he got fat then my question is ex falso anyway).

And what would you do if someone came down with the flu and couldn't play? You wouldn't even think about who or how he got the flu. So, think of Covid from this point on as the flu. After all, the current death rate is 1/100 of the flu. Yeah, I did the math. Last 3 weeks in FL 820,000 covid positives, 104 deaths. .013% death rate.

Well, it is more about the infection rate and there Covid beats any flu, i.e. the odds to get COVID are much higher than to get the flu. As of the death rate, I think overall Covid beats the flu as well, but not by much, but this is just hearsay, but where it beats the flu again by much is the complications and long term effects, again mostly hearsay.
Me, too. He has kept himself in good shape. He is probably in better shape now than in his early to mid 20s.
I wonder how old Favre has to get for this nonsense to end..
#12 Lynn Dickey too! Why did Aaron Rodgers take Lynn Dickey's jersey number .... there were plenty non-12s available.

I don't know if I am glad I did or wish I didn't open this thread.
YoHoChecko 's response made it all worth it.

But yes this is a real risk for sure.
I really hope it doesn't impact the postseason.

Just watch the first minute or so of this. Mahommes is shocked at the zip favre has on the ball. He’s better than ever. Had plenty of time to watch Rodgers too and learn about being a little more risk adverse.
