It's easy to forget how good him and Jaire are because we haven't seen them for so long, but this defense, which has worried me a bit, is immediately better with those two on the field. Doesn't alleviate all of my concerns, but I think those two could bring enough to make the difference we need.

Same, still believe it when I see it.
And not just see them, but see them play effectively.
I remember Chad Clifton came back divisional round after missing the whole season and he was bad. Rodgers had Jennings on a double move for a possible touchdown right before halftime and Clifton blew his block bad and Aaron got hit and fumbled and NY scored before halftime instead.
I maintained that all along with Bak and Myers. We saw both of them yesterday and between how they played and how Newman played, there is no doubt who are starting 5 is (except at RT, Billy/Kelly) for the postseason. With Z and Jaire... they are just plug and play into whatever role you can possibly dream up for them.
If Z does nothing else than be a situational pass rusher, that is gold. If he expands upon that, he takes snaps away from Tipa or Garvin... that cannot possibly hurt. Jaire, same thing. Plug him in anywhere and you just got better.
I wouldn't be against a more drastic change for Jaire, though. Maybe play him over Rasul who has cooled off the past few weeks and let Rasul be more of that 3rd-safety, Nickel. Let him use his instincts and feel for the game in that sort of role and plug Jaire back in as the eraser that he is.

I stand corrected, just coming out of halftime.

Yeah, good news. Blah, blah, blah...
More importantly, who is that woman in the tweet above?? My god, she's gorgeous...and knows football?? Bonus!
I gotta start getting my butt outta bed earlier to tune into these programs...
wanna !@#$ me off, just play some rap music, Bruce Willis
hope when he plays it resembles 2019.
Gary had a monster year with 81 pressures, Z had 95 in 2019, add in Preston and Clark's 100 and that is some hellish pressure

Even if he's not a monster out there, he's a Pro Bowl quality player that the opposing O-Line will have to account for, which bodes well for our other Pro Bowl caliber pass rushers.

I hope that Z has a real chip on his shoulder, after missing so much time. And I'm sure that he will.
Maybe he'll even be a great veteran inspiration in the playoffs. I'd love a new and bigger SPARK for this team. I think he would more than Bahktiari or Jaire.
