I didn’t know until now that we had a Twitter thingy. Then again, it’s a miracle I even know what a Twitter thingy is.
Yeah, kind of forgot about this for like a year.
Thought if I can send out a few random tweets or retweets, particularly from smaller accounts, might possibly draw in a few more members.
I don't think it has been working thus far.
So this had me thinking a bit about how to get more people here and talking. Was also thinking about next years Shareholders meeting. I hope to be able to go. Was thinking those of us that go should make up some Packers-huddle.com T-shirts. I thought of a few ideas.

I do know a guy who makes t-shirts. He's unreliable and can be expensive (but very nice shirts)
. But if people are interested, I could ask him about it. He'll make basically whatever I ask him for.

I'd buy a shirt. I like that idea.
If the point is to advertise, we should exclude inside jokes.
I like the "the way a Packers forum should be"

Also, if we use the Twitter account to send out breaking news tweets plus funny comments on Packers related items...it will get traction.

I agree on the inside jokes. That was just for my amusement at the time of posting.

I like the T-shirt idea, but the forum Twitter needs more clickbait. Here are some free ones:
"Sources report Aaron Rodgers will stage hunger strike if Randall Cobb isn't activated for Divisional round!"
"Lucas Patrick placed on Covid list after karaoke contest; finished 6th"
"Whitney Mercilus returns to practice, cites gooseberries as miracle cure"
Or, and this is super boring, the forum Twitter account could post links to the hot forum topics. "Trending topic: Rodgers wants out - 187 pages and counting! @Packers-Huddle.com"

I’m certainly not on enough to keep up with breaking news.
My strategy has been to find guys like like <500 followers and follow them and like their stuff and retweet
Got a few follows back, but haven’t noticed any new members.
But retweeting Bukoskwi or Herman or commenting on their posts never gets any interaction.
We could definitely have multiple users helping run the Twitter account and everyone can just do their own strategy.

I would buy a tshirt and I volunteer to do the Twitter posting every other Leap Day (Feb 29, 2024 is the next one). Unless you think that’s too often.

I would definitely get a few shirts and wear them around lambeau, shares holders meeting, fan fest, etc .

I added a poll to get a count of who would want a shirt. I'll talk to my guy about pricing.
Obviously we'd want to figure out a design, colors etc. But I'll ask at least about something simple like I said before.

2 bad, evil people that don't love us enough to want a shirt!
(Says the guy that's quit this place a few times
).
I want to get an idea of how many people may want them before I ask. So answer the poll!

No, I did not vote 4 times. I only voted no once.

You're getting one whether you like it or not!

Won't wear it. Hell, I don't even wear my Vikings shirts. (queue the jokes)

I’d buy one but I’d prefer it to be white with green/gold lettering rather than a green shirt. I’d still make the purchase either way, though.

Agreed, I didn't vote but it would be a "No" from me because that color scheme is ug-ly (... sorry guys).
Packers don't even use that shade of green, they use more of a forest green.

There is literally no design yet! Don't vote based on what I provided, only if you are interested. If you have ideas, post them! We can have another vote on design.

As there are at least 10 yes, I'll reach out to my guy.
Even if he won't do it, I'm sure we can find a decent place to go through.

We want them to awkwardly stand out and catch your eye. We don’t want them to look ‘normal’ or ‘cool’.
