Alright .......... what are everybody's predictions regarding Aaron Rodgers' attitude(s), body language(s), basic approach(es) on the field and in the pressers, and on and on and on, once the season finally starts?

For example:
Will we see Aaron Rodgers continue to overtly call out receivers for not being open?
Will we see Aaron Rodgers continue to not take blame for things he should take blame for?
Will we see Aaron Rodgers call out the front office for letting certain players go, or not drafting the right positional player again?
Etc Etc Etc (I am sure we all have our own specific gripes, What are they?).

GO PACK GO !!

I’d like to see Aaron tell Gutey; After restructuring some of the current contracts like P. Smith, figure out how much it would take to keep Campbell, Douglas, Tonyan, MVS, & Cobb, and I’ll take what’s left over (minus the money needed for the draft picks and a little for in season needs).

So maybe avg. $20mil/yr for 4 years, with a $50 mil signing bonus guaranteed. First year would be lower, like $5mil for cap reasons.

Am I dreaming?

It might explain why Rodgers contract is taking so long.

I love that there are STILL people thinking Rodgers will make a selfless team-first contractual move.

I genuinely, genuinely believe that Rodgers allowed fake numbers to leak so that the expectations were set sky high ($50M/year), then he gets to own the media and paint the narrative that he took less to help the team when he agrees to the deal in place all along for $48M/year or something. And guys like you will be like "see, he DID take less!" but he's still the highest paid player in league history.

Deal finally done, officially. The details aren't out yet; being digested by the media at the moment.

I am personally stoked that Rodgers isn't using his unsigned contract status to help Davante Adams leverage a new deal.

So first he says it's a 4-year deal with 2 dummy years.

Now it's a 3-year deal and the total amount is slightly less than the guaranteed amount?

So it's 3 years fully guaranteed with 2 void years at the end to spread out the cap, is my guess from all of this....

So a legit 3 year contract.

Wonder how retirement plays into that in terms of the guaranteed money.

Seems like we’ll have to take about a $50M cap hit in 2025 should Aaron retire then. Gunna suck, but cap might be $100 million higher by then than it is now.

Worth it if we get at least one super bowl.

I'm not going to comment too much on the numbers. Having a hard time digesting them with me being busy at work this morning. But....

Looks to me like a 2 year deal, with a possible good chance at 3. So we hit rebuild mode in 2024 or 2025. Obviously depends on what the cap is then. But reports of the cap hit being in the $75M range at the end of the contact.

I'm not going to look at it beyond 2 years. So 2 years to win a GD :lombardi: , hopefully :lombardi: :lombardi: . DO IT AND QUIT PUSSY-FOOTIN'!!!

This is my take/understanding, as well.

All this talk about the dead money if he walks after 2 years sounds, to me, like he can't walk after 2 years--the team can recoup un-earned bonus money if a player retires before the end of the contract, and while they often don't, in this case, they clearly would have to to reduce that charge.

So we're either headed for a very messy divorce in 2 years, which is certainly possible, or this deal runs at least 3 years. I don't see why anyone would consider it anything less than a 3-year commitment, honestly. It sounds like there's 3rd-year money still guaranteed, even.
