Sounds like an interior pass rusher who had a mildly disappointing 2021 in Kansas City but was solid for the Seahawks prior.

Hopefully can get the production he had while in Seattle with Kenny next to him. But at worst a run stuffer. Good add. Slaton, Clark, Reed should stop a few runners up the middle.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑22 Mar 2022 15:42Sounds like an interior pass rusher who had a mildly disappointing 2021 in Kansas City but was solid for the Seahawks prior.

Is Jarran Reed good?
i think he was not great in KC, but was very good in SEA

I like it. Another interior big who has pass rush ability. Recently solid, not great, against the run although he has shown skill there in the past. Get him back to form and he could be a serious contributor.
For you scheme gurus, how does Barry's scheme compare to that of KC? Seattle? Could his down trend in production in KC been just a matter of scheme fit?

Bukowski did a bunch of iso tweets on Reed and his play in the AFCCG:
Some duplicates in there with retweets but you get the gist.

I'm not expecting him to be a star, but I am expecting him to be an upgrade over Tyler Lancaster and 2021 Kinglsey Keke and gives the freedom to move Clark around more as well as rest Clark more.
The key is we want a group of guys who can be swapped in and out to keep them fresh and take advantage of matchups.
Clark is the key in all of this and it is great to see us buying guys to support him a bit more.
I think the lineup of Clark, Reed, Slayton and Lowry is a pretty good 4 man rotation.

Keep the QB from stepping up in the pocket and leave him hanging there for Gary!
I actually liked Lancaster as a cheap rotational player, I just thought we asked him to be more than he really was. Hes not an every down DLmen on a good DL. But when the starters are tired, you can do alot worse than to rotate Lancaster in, in my opinion.
That said, if Lancasters interest is low around the league, I would be happy to bring him back to play that role on a very cheap deal.
