1 week away! Damn the time has flown. So, what are your predictions for the draft? Crazy player trades? 17 QB's in round 1? Packers draft only special teams players? I still have some work to do, but here are a few thoughts I have.
*No RBs taken in round 1
*5 QBs taken in round 1
*The Packers do not draft any of these players at 22 or above. Some are options at 28 - Burks, Wilson, Watson, Wyatt, Jermaine Johnson, Mafe.
*My best bests for our 1st pick - Jordan Davis, Travis Jones, Drake London, Daxton Hill.
*Darkhorse picks for 1st pick - Penning, Trent McDuffie, Kyle Gordon, Pickens, Cine, Karlaftis.
*None of the big WRs rumored to be seeking a trade will get traded.
*Roger Goodell will get boo'd. I didn't say bold predictions.
*Jacksonville is going to mess up 90% of mocks right away.

17 QB's in round 1?
That would be amazing.

I predict the Packers will acquire one of those WR's on a draft day trade.

Feel like I get less and less confident every year.
Not sure if that is more humility or more just lack of quality consensus.
I have commented about the latter for a while, since Mayock left, consensus value has gone downhill.
He was actually pretty good at it and super well connected. He was always somewhat of a source of truth.
Now we are looking to guys like the draft network and the jabronis at CBS, who are not connected or good at what they do, by comparison, to make some kind of consensus rankings.
Either way, just feel like I have no idea where/when anyone is gunna go, lol.

I hope we don’t.
22 and our 3rd is the sweet spot, imo. That could be 14-17.
I could live with 22 and 59, that could do 10-13, give or take. Maybe more 53 on the higher end.
Don’t really get why we’d go any higher.

It seems like such a foregone conclusion that this is the year we go WR in Round 1.
Imagine if we pick twice in the 1st and still don't. That would be ~

Completely agree. I hope Mayock makes his way back to draft coverage.

Very much considering that in my final mock if I decide we make both picks.

To get the best but I also have seen mocks with 3 wrs gone by the 11th pick.

Who is the best? What if the first one taken amounts to nothing?

Again, who is this player we are moving up for?
Or is this just moving up to move up because it is flashy and it gives off this allusion of... Something?

Do you think Gutey is on this message board? How would anyone here know who the Packers are moving up in the draft for, if they are.

If one believes the Packers should move up to take the best WR in the class then they should know who that it is. If one does not know who that is then why should the Packers move up?

We trade up for Garrett Wilson. Both firsts to the falcons for 8 and Wilson is our pick.
Also just a prediction.

"Wilson's game is lacking in polish, but some scouts believe his play strength and run-after-catch ability make him a more valuable draft commodity than Ohio State teammate Chris Olave. He's a linear, inside/outside receiver with trouble eluding press cleanly and is very inefficient with routes over the first two levels. His long speed is good, but the acceleration burst is what makes him such an effective separator in space. He might not be smooth getting there, but he has eye-popping ball skills when it's time to go make a play. Wilson needs to work on his ability to consistently uncover on all three levels, but he has the traits to become a very good WR2 if he tightens up areas of concern."
So you advocate using both first round picks on an undersized receiver that has the ability to be a very good WR#2 if he learns how to run a route?

No I advocate using 2 picks on a stud receiver and obviously disagree with the assessment by the famous lance zierlein.

Ditto, it's a complete cluster effer, player grades change daily, same with eval opinions, CBS is a &%$@ show, I really miss CBS Rang days and Mayock on the NFL channel, I book mark Draft buzz because they list the top 12 or so draft sites because each has there grade listed by them, but I have my doubts because when I check them out individually the grades are diff. so who can ya trust? sucks.
I joined the Athletic for the dollar a month trial 6 month thing, somehow for some reason ( I probably screwed it up) my pass word was rejected, I spent a hr trying to fix that, didn't work so I cancelled it, they are still sending me emails that I can't open, finally got that stopped, what a hassel it is to simply join a pay site
