That's pretty terrible RAS.

Slim down of PS and come again in 2023? Or immovable big boi nose all the way?

Strengths/Positives
Space Eater (6’5”, 333lbs)
Special Teams Experience (Punt Return and FG/XP Team)
Nose for the ball (eight FR and FF during his career)
Quick First Step for his size
Durable, no injury issues

Weaknesses/Negatives
Below average speed/athleticism
Limited production, especially in pass rush
Decent tackler but could use some refinement
One-trick pony: Nose Tackle

NFL Comparisons: Marvin Wilson, RJ McIntosh
Bottom Line:
While Ford’s production was not ideal - all three sacks of his career came in 2019 - he has something you absolutely cannot teach: Size. the 6-5, 330 pound interior defensive lineman can be an absolute space eater in the middle. If he can show he has the NFL level conditioning, he may be a sneaky pickup for teams that need bodies (which is becoming more apparent in this COVID age football).

Probably had a shot on the 2021 Packers though.

Best he can hope for is a year on the PS to get himself into football shape. Hope he is willing.

Not a bad thing to have a Psquad candidate to be activated in case of injury.

Get him a place far away from fast food joints, ban use of car, make him ride the bike to Lambeau Field... ;)

He doesn't look that out of shape. And dude played on the punt coverage team at Miami! But probably needs some conditioning.

Nope, not a bad thing at all. Some become starters a year later. But I hope he isn't needed this season

Just put him on the FG unit to block three guys at once!

Ford and Slaton went to middle school together.

He's at around 340lbs right now.

meh. Athleticism that bad in a DT is a pretty sure sign of a guy who won't amount to anything other than situational role-player (if that). There may be a use for him as a pure run-stuffer but nothing here to get excited about.

Hah!

Can you imagine being in 7th grade and trying to run the ball against those two!

I mean 7th round picks are basically practice squad candidates and lottery tickets. A rotational run stuffer, if that, is a good outcome at that point.

Right now, with who is available, I like our chances at 4th and 1 on the goal line.

As long as Kevin King isn't on the field.

Well, he's definitely too physically limited to be a lottery ticket, which just leaves practice squad candidate, as a guy who at best can contribute in a niche role.

So, like I said, pretty meh and nothing to get excited about.
