I don’t think it was coincidence Amari Rodgers was playing RB on a fair amount of snaps last night.williewasgreat wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 10:04Given Jones penchant for injuries, I don't see how they can go without 3 RBs.NCF wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 07:37Disagree on the RB’s. If anything, between ST reps and pass pro, I would say Taylor survived Goodson by default last night. In the end, I do think neither of them makes the 53 and they roll with 2 and a PS call up until Hill comes back Week 5.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑25 Aug 2022 21:43Some guys who needed it making the push tonight.
- Heflin trying to get a spot ahead of Slayton and/or only keeping 5 DL
- Goodson making the strong case for his spot, even though I'm pretty sure he was a good bet for RB3 all along and the 2RB theory is just weird
Anyone else come to mind as a "he needs it but he's making his case?"
- Toure showing up more on offense than he has since family night

Not good at wr or returner so why not rb? Gotta try something to justify a bad pick. I was a fan of Goodson in college so I am rooting for him. He will land somewhere if not here.BF004 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 10:28I don’t think it was coincidence Amari Rodgers was playing RB on a fair amount of snaps last night.williewasgreat wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 10:04Given Jones penchant for injuries, I don't see how they can go without 3 RBs.
everyone we cut will land somewhere, Amari has already landed, imo his roster spot was never in doubt, he's produced more then anyone else in these 3 PS games, while he may not be the best at any one thing, he's done well enough at each to be assured of a roster spot.Realist wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 10:34Not good at wr or returner so why not rb? we'll still keep a 3rd RB, likely Goodson.

I'm glad preseason is over. That game last night was just awful, although I liked the TD run. I just hope the starters will be ready to go in Minnesota.

Welcome and greetings from an almost Arctic Packers fan (I live about 3 miles south of the Arctic Circle and work basically right on top of it).
I'm proud of our forum that NO ONE jinxed us during entire camp, even though I bet many of us noticed the lack of major injuries.

Thanks for the welcome! Are you in Alaska? My husband and I study Brown Bears and other wildlife in Alaska a few months each year. We have a house in Palmer but generally do our research above the Arctic Circle.salmar80 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 12:28Welcome and greetings from an almost Arctic Packers fan (I live about 3 miles south of the Arctic Circle and work basically right on top of it).

Oh, and welcome aboard, Arctic Pack Fan!
was a great run, and some great zone blocking, the individual performances are more important to watch then the games themselves, and Goodson has excellent vision and burst, and Myers walled off the back side pursuit, great play.Arctic Pack Fan wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 11:15I'm glad preseason is over. Heflin is stating his case, our DL went from Clark, Lowry, and all the rest to what appears a abundance of players that deserve a roster spot, if not here, then somewhere.
same with Abernathy, the safety position has been a continuous next man up situation since ota's hopefully Abernathy stays healthy.
welcome to the forum

Thank you for all the welcomes! I've been a Pack fan for about 7 years. I am a big fan of Rodgers. I just wish we could get over the hump and win a Super Bowl. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the last playoff loss to the 9ers. A blocked punt for a TD! Come on...
I really like Doubs, I think he'll be better than people think.
You guys know a lot more about football than I ever will but I'll try to keep up.

Ok then. My prediction for the season. 14 and 3, Rodgers wins another MVP. Doubs is the leading WR with 110 catches for 1150 yards and 10 td's Aaron Jones 1500 yards and we win the Super Bowl!!!lupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Aug 2022 18:37Welcome. Over arching themes from the preseason:
1. My gawd the STs are actually worse than last year. Our specialists appear okay. But our protection and coverage units are pathetic. I am absolutely in the concerned camp now. They will need to pivot to a strategy of just simply taking STs away from being a factor in the game. Force fair catches, boot the ball in the EZ and kneel as many kicks as possible.
2. Our offensive line without our two All-Pro's is concerning. The starting KC unit destroyed them. Our RG situation is also concerning.
3. I think it is starting to look like a mistake taking Meyers over Creed Humprey in the draft.
4. Abernathy is legit. I am absolutely putting this guy on the 53.
5. Tyler Goodson is a playmaker. Usually I take time to warm up to PS RBs stealing the show, but this guy has proven 3 games in a row that the team is different with him in the game. He reminded me of watching Aaron Jones in 2017 and 2018....the offense moves the ball every time he is in and lacks a spark when he isn't.
6. I honestly don't see any reason to keep more than 3 OLBs on this roster. Unless one of them is waiver claim or vet signing.
7. Ty Summers got considerably worse through the years.
8. Jordan Love has some tools to be excited about.
9. There is reason to be really excited about Doubs. I was disappointed in Winfree not coming down with that deep ball from Love. But Doubs does appear to have something to be excited about as long as he can get on the same page as Rodgers.

? By most accounts Myers has had a good camp...
