In other news, the NFL is not allowing the Pat McAfee show to use any logos, graphics or basically mention the NFL. What a joke.
Why? What happened?
Didn't get to listen to much of it. But sounds like the basically got a cease and desist letter from the NFL about using their logos and stuff.
They can continue to show plays, but can't pause them because that constitutes a graphic. They paid $4M for the right to have that already.
Pretty sad when a guy named as a HOF finalist can't even use the NFL logo on his show.
They just want AR to not go on there anymore and talk bad about their vaxxene pressure/mandate.

Bears trade Roquan Smith to Ravens for a 2nd and 5th.
So here’s a funny thought. Are da Bears tanking this season?
Don’t laugh too loud.
;-)
An even funnier thought. Are we tanking this year? I ain't laughing.

Raiders would have been better off keeping Gruden. McDaniels sucks.

Vikings 2nd round pick shouldn’t be ‘good’ next year, so looks like a mid 2nd round value.
I think that a pretty fair I guess both ways.

I haven't been able to follow stuff today. Why did the Lions deal Hockenson? I figured he was a pretty decent part of their longterm plans.

Hockenson was drafted by the previous regime, the offense does not feature TEs, he is due to get paid, and Detroit is accumulating draft picks for a future run, which in the case of the LIons never seems to come.
Better to get a 2nd in 2023 draft than a 2024 compensatory 3rd.

Not cheap either. They must feel he's someone good to pair with Fields long term.

They weren't going to resign him. They did pickup his 5th year option though. Owner came out last week and said the rebuild is going to be a bit.

I for one am very happy we didn't give that up for Claypool. Slightly better Alan Lazard, worse blocker, similar play style, and a year off from getting money he isn't worth based off draft position and rookie that resulted in unsustainable TD's for his skill and opportunity.
Wouldn't really move the needle much for this year, redundant skill set for what we have. Between Lazard, Cobby, Watkins and Rodgers, no one can win deep already, Claypool wouldn't change that much.

"Always in the mix" Gutey came up just short. Instead of a 2 for Claypool, he gave a 2 for Watson.
