So we gotta root for SF twice and Minny next week and then maybe Dallas? :suicide:

Might just be okay with focusing on the draft.

Other than winning out, which is a tall order, looks like we are going to need a big assist from the Colts or Browns depending on how the Washington-New York game goes.
One of Washington or New York can win 2 of 4 as long as Seattle only wins 2 of 4. Both Washington and New York can win their respective games against the Colts and Browns as long as they lose to the 49ers/Cowboys and Vikings/eagles respectively.

If I'm the Eagles Week 18 and I know a loss to the Giants allows a stumbling Giants into the playoffs or a win allows a red hot Packers team in the playoffs and I already have the #1 seed locked....

I know what my decision would be.

The Giants are fading fast. Commanders will probably be tough to keep out. Seattle on paper should lose 2 more, but who knows with the 49ers QB situation. Winning out is going to be sketchy against Minny and Detroit who will be on their A game to eliminate the pack.

the Pack needs to finish first or second in a 4 way sprint to the finish
Reminds me of this wacky final afternoon...with 4 teams vying for the last playoff spots
Came down to the 4th tiebreaker, total points in conference games

I remember that day! Was such an exciting day of football watching teams compete on the field as well as on the scoreboard against their playoff competitors. Such a fun day to witness as it played out.
I remember too!

It's trippy seeing Steve Beuerlein, Jake Delhomme, and Jake "The Snake" Plummer again. Back then, I really thought Plummer was going to be the next Favre/Elway/Young type QB.

If this playoff miracle actually happens, the Packers will be going to either Minneapolis or San Francisco. :aok:

So we rooting for Giants or Commanders this weekend?

8-7-2 = 9-8 for win %, so a tie might make things real goofy.

We have to win as well and considering we play 3 teams better than us I think this season has been over for quite some time. Just ruining our chances in future seasons every win we get.

The crazy thing is neither Green Bay nor Carolina made it that year.

Alright.

The picture is now pretty much set for the Lions and Packers.

Detroit Lions

Washington OR Seattle must lose one game

Washington: @SF, CLE, DAL
Seattle: @KC, NYJ, LAR

Lions must win out.

DET: @CAR, Chicago, @GB

Green Bay Packers

Washington must lose 2 AND Seattle must lose 1

Washington: @SF, CLE, DAL
Seattle: @KC, NYJ, LAR

Packers must win out.

GB: LAR, @MIA, MN, DET

Yeah. I redid my post. The Lions are really in the driver's seat I believe.

Washington could easily lose two more, as long as Dal doesn't rest everyone week 18. Seattle could lose not just one game, but two. Packers still have a tall order winning out. Lions do have the easiest road.

I fully expect the skins and hawks to do their part in losing for us. But unless we are a whole new team coming out of the bye week, we will not win out. We just aren’t a good team and haven’t been all year. We’ve lost all year to bad teams. But hey, maybe we find life after the bye. Detroit in week 18 for a playoff spot would be epic if we don’t lose before that.

Sad that our that our playoff hopes may come down to a stubborn refusal to move on from Amari Rodgers as the team's punt returner.

Given how crappy the season has been, if you look at it, the path to redemption is essentially laid. The playoffs begin today boys ‘n girls.

We may need another Josh McCown to come through for the Pack. He’s out there some where.
Love is the answer…
