Gutey talking shortly as well. Finally done and I'm happy with the compensation.

I will take that trade all day! In effect, we get the 2nd this year too, plus the conditional 2nd next year and move up from 15 to 13.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

Holy crap, we got like everything.

The 13/15 swap, 42 not 43, and a first round pick likely to be a first, but locked into the 20-51 range.

Gute is ice cold.

Hope he makes the most of this.

Sad to see it but it's probably the correct move, and obviously we all knew it was coming. But the delay did make me wonder whether there was a slight chance it would be called off.

Nice job Gute! I'm good with this. If there's someone we really want in the first that's higher than 13, then we have another 2nd to play with, and/or have the ammo to move back up into the first round.

And just so I'm reading it right, if Rodgers plays 65% of the snaps this season, we get a 1st round pick? And if he blows his ACL in week 1, we get a 2nd?

The pick swap is the nice surprise.

We have capital to move up again if a stud falls some.

Or even a better return for a trade back.

I knew we would get 13. Absolutely no way this deal doesn’t get done if that pick swap isn’t there. The conditional first should be easy to acquire. Let’s hope they take an offensive lineman.
Cancelled by the forum elites.

Holy &%$@, a 1st for only playing 65% of snaps?? AWESOME!!!!!!  That's even better than the conditional pick we got for Favre!

And honestly, that pick swap is huge, even if it only moves us up two spots. I have done dozens of sim mocks and some of the best first-round guys for us go just one and/or two picks before 15.

And yeah, getting an extra 2nd is lit af, that's pretty much where the sweet spot of this draft class IMO.

Nicely done, Gute. :aok:

More than I was expecting. Gutey and staff were willing to wait it out and let the pressure build. Leapfrogs New England if we want JSN, decent chance he makes it to 13.

So I wonder which player might be within reach at 13, that wouldn’t have been at 15. Well, two guys obviously. Hahaha.

My first reaction is whether that makes it more likely we pick a top T, or trade back.

Corey Davis is notably absent from this trade.

What's great about that is if Rogers does get hurt and not play 65% of the snaps, then we are most likely getting a pretty nice 2nd round pick anyway.
