Sucks for all parties involved.
We likely win at least one SB with him and he’s headed to the HOF without that injury.
Heard he’s gotten like $50k per snap since extension.
He should consider just hanging em up if he wants to walk the rest of his life.

This situation is so odd.
I'm 50-50 that he saw Rodgers' injury and mentally retired, basically not capable of sustained high effort play any longer, and that there is no real physical ailment.

This is on Gute for redoing his deal and basically making him unmovable this year.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
Paying Bakh early before his last deal was questionable, but really just bad luck.
Continuing to double down on the bad decision, as if we are desperate at the position when we are not, has been an egregious error that has cost us a lot.

It's not a double down. It's a restructure that doesn't cost us much capwise. He was uncuttable this past off-season before the restructure because it would have cost us cap space to do so.

Should have traded to Jets a month ago

He wasn't moveable this year before the restructure and he's not after. All it did was move some money around. We're basically at the worst case scenario regardless of the extension. Right where we were going to be anyway. Trade? Like that wasn't going to hurt too.
I wonder who takes his spot on the roster. Patrick Taylor, I would assume.

Find somebody who will restructure the knee and get another year out of him.

Well we saw it coming. And unfortunately there is nothing any of us including Bakh could do about it. He is done for 4 weeks and maybe the year.
The good thing is that Walker is at least a stopgap solution and it is better that Walker gets the experience so that if the Packers make the playoffs, Walker will not be the reason they lose.
And yes, promote Patrick Taylor. He might win a game on ST. And he might be better than that huge disappointment called Quadzilla

I think he’s getting another procedure then. Weird to IR him considering you get 10 days of rest and then a bye.

They elevated a ST player from the PS. Considering that ST almost lost that Saints game, I think it is a good decisionlupedafiasco wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023 17:25I think he’s getting another procedure then. Weird to IR him considering you get 10 days of rest and then a bye.
Already had it. And another one planned, apparently.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023 17:25I think he’s getting another procedure then. Weird to IR him considering you get 10 days of rest and then a bye.

Yeah as soon as I heard IR I knew he either had one or was getting one soon. Made no sense with the upcoming schedule.APB wrote: ↑28 Sep 2023 18:22Already had it.
