From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
The Green Bay Packers return to Lambeau Field for a prime-time meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs.
It marks the third time in the last four meetings that the matchup with Chiefs has been a prime-time game (2015 on Monday Night Football, 2019 on Sunday Night Football).
The two teams last met in 2021 in Kansas City in what was QB Jordan Love's first career start.
Green Bay has won two of the last three matchups, including the last game played at Lambeau Field (2015).
Six of the last eight games between the Packers and Chiefs have been decided by seven points or less.
For the second straight season, the Packers will host the defending Super Bowl champions in a December prime-time game at Lambeau Field (Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football in Week 15 last season). This marks the first time that the Packers have hosted the defending Super Bowl champions in back-to-back seasons.
The only other December matchups between the Packers and Chiefs came on Dec. 18, 2011, a 19-14 Kansas City win at home, and on Dec. 10, 1989, a 21-3 Chiefs victory at Lambeau Field.
The Packers have faced Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes one time (2021) and he completed 20 of 37 passes for 166 yards (4.49 avg.) with a TD and a passer rating of 74.8. The passer rating is the 11th lowest in the 91 career games he has played in the regular season.
The Packers have won back-to-back games and three of their last four.
In Week 14, Green Bay will go east to take on the New York Giants. Including the postseason, the Packers have won three of the last four matchups, scoring 30-plus points in two of those victories (31, 38)

Something tells me you didn’t read through that dope sheet before posting it.
Oh nevermind, from last year. HA! Thanks.

A lot of people are going to talk about Love last time he played KC, and sure, it's interesting to compare, but I don't think it tells us much in terms of player progression. That last game told us nothing of value about Love. The circumstances were all-around awful for a developmental QB in his first start; he never had a chance.
Our play on D will be more important to winning this game, IMO. Strangely enough, Barry did really well last time, holding KC—with an elite QB playing at home—to 13 points.
Our offense with Love, under the myriad of complicating factors heading into that game, was not good enough to top 13-19 points. Now we should be able to do that without too much difficulty.

I'll be yelling loudly from row 1 of the North End Zone. Family seats I get once every 4ish years, right at the "B" in Green Bay. Not great seats for watching a football game, amazing seats to experience a game. Hoping for a LEAP! And we rented a limo, so maybe they'll park us next to TSwift LOL

I'll be 58 rows up in Section 130. Thinking Hinterland before the game if we can get in the place. Come on over for a pregame chat with Ringo.

Chiefs lead the NFL in dropped passes. MVS has 15 receptions total this season. Mahomes has thrown 9 interceptions. All good omens for Sunday night. I say shut down Kelce.
