There is a difference between uncertainty and certainty. In this case, judging by it's location, a review of the recent weather conditions, and the reputation of the site, I'd feel safe from one end to the other. The clarity of the ice just adds to the overall pleasure of the experience.
If your not the lead dog, then the scenery never changes.
Tough day. She'd been going downhill for a while. But didn't expect to have to make that call today. She was a Packers fan because I'd sit down for 3 hours every game and she would join me.

Ever have one of those days where everyone has their head up their ass except for you? That's today.

I don't know that it's a matter of intelligence.

It sounds like you live in Minnesota.
Wife got me the Flaviar whiskey advent calendar for Xmas. Pretty stoked to dig into it. First one of these I've done. We did a beer one last year that we didn't quite love. I like exploring whiskey, but rarely go outside of my comfort zone. This will be a good opportunity.

I’ll be headed to a buddies house shortly to play some pool with the boys. Bringing a bottle of Four Roses with me to sip on. Haven’t tried this distiller but have heard good things.paco wrote: ↑01 Dec 2023 11:58Wife got me the Flaviar whiskey advent calendar for Xmas. Pretty stoked to dig into it. 4 roses yellow label is just fine. But they do a ton of good stuff. Single barrels are usually good. Small batch select is really good. I went there my last trip to Louisville. Didn't tour though, just had a couple drinks.APB wrote: ↑02 Dec 2023 18:15I’ll be headed to a buddies house shortly to play some pool with the boys. Bringing a bottle of Four Roses with me to sip on. I find people like this to be amazing.
Pretty cool minidoc about visual effects in live sports.
The tech is soon there to enable things like an alternate broadcast of, let's say, a Bears-Lions game in a way that the players would be replaced live with actual bears and lions. Maybe in a stadium set in a jungle.
For a super meta experience, you could have a live game of real football, but the stadium and players would look like their Madden models, and you could move the camera yourself all over the stadium.

I don't live in MN, though maybe it's a pandemic of stupid that could have originated there. Now the only question is whether these dumbasses were made in a lab or did someone eat an animal raw?
