I did not know that Priest Holmes was on that 2000 Ravens roster. He went on to be such a stud with KC. Wonder what circumstances led to him being a backup to Jamal Lewis.
Lewis was a bonafide stud. Holmes had yet to break out outside of one season and a couple big games.

Priest Homes was elite in certain things and limited in many ways. He went to a place that used him to perfection and it made him elite.
He almost never broke long runs at all. His TD production in the red zone was unparalleled; but it also was created by having more red zone opportunities than anyone else in the league. He was almost a more athletic pass catching FB--elite at short yardage and YAC, limited explosiveness. But he was used completely perfectly. He did great.
