LB and special teams project. Could be awesome. I was thinking Payton Wilson or Jaden Hicks there.

That LB looked stiff in the ESPN highlights? I'll go read up and feel better about it before I go to bed.
8 picks tomorrow boys!

He will fit in with Walker. The LB threw a punch at a fan during a game
Good point. No idea why we drafted him then lol

Okay maybe I do like this pick. More Aholes the better.kampmanfan4life wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024 22:02He will fit in with Walker. The LB threw a punch at a fan during a game

Gute always outsmarting everyone. Takes a small and kinda slow LB in R3 destined to only ever play ST.

Hey, look at that the crew showed back up! They went pretty quiet for 3 picks there.
Seriously, some of you make enjoying anything a chore.
I have no $%@# idea who this ILB is, but it's the end of round 3 and I will give it the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Does anyone think we got smaller on defence overall?
Bullard is small by safety standards.
Cooper and Hopper are undersized linebackers, especially when compared to Campbell, who are probably better suited in coverage than stopping the run.
Are we focusing completely as a coverage defence whilst sacrificing our ability to stop the run more consistently?

Not looking to upset p23, but my extensive research of this guy, based on the 3 plays nfl network showed of him…he didn’t look like an nfl ILB at all based on size.

Attacking style doesn't rely on big uglies to take on blocks. Might be where this defense is going under Hafley.Chilli wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024 22:09Does anyone think we got smaller on defence overall?

Just realised our Douglas draft pick was used on Hopper. Not sure how to feel about that one.
We both know how to feel about that

Gutey says the trade down was agreed to a couple picks ahead of the DeJean snipe, so I guess there is something they could say to convince me they weren't taking him but I' skeptical

Gutey says all 5 guys were graded in their top 2 rounds and that was a little under 50 total players that graded that highly on their board.
Also said he almost moved up a few times because he got antsy, but ended up getting the guys he was going to move up for without moving up; didn't miss anyone, according to him.

Packers had him in the 4.5's.

A reminder that NFL boards are WAY different than the medias or ours. Far less on them.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024 22:59Gutey says all 5 guys were graded in their top 2 rounds and that was a little under 50 total players that graded that highly on their board.

Cooper and Hopper are both 230+ pounds. Light compared to Campbell, for sure. But we are switching to a new style of defense. Where Walked has size (and speed), Cooper will be rangy as heck. It's a good thing.Chilli wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024 22:09Does anyone think we got smaller on defence overall?

I've wanted a faster D in GB for years. And it's finally happening. I don't know that it'll hold up well against the maulers on Detroit's OLine. But they'll play the pass really well.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
reality
Morgan=starter
Cooper=starter
Bullard= starter
Lloyd could start if not for Jacobs
Hopper, possibly # 3 or 4 lber who will start on ST's
as to top 3, Guty described the type players he wanted, and all 3 fit exactly to what he described, Lloyd as well fits the style of RB we wanted, Hopper is the only pick not specifically described as a want by Guty
so far I think Guty did very well sticking to and full filling his prior plans for this draft, true we all had visions of some other scenarios, even so, our GM seems to have nailed this draft
