Then vote for him!

I believe we are entering Quay territory. But I also believe he needs to elevate his play. A good Quay Walker can really elevate this defense. We haven't seen enough of Quay just playing. I really hope Hafley finds the magic sauce of just having his players play rather than think.

If anything, Quay is overrated. The flashy plays he makes every now and again make people think he's a lot better than he is, ala Devin White. McDuffie is better at the non-flashy stuff that you need to do to be a good LBer.

Cooper has the same sort of athletic talent as Quay but is a more complete player than Quay was coming out. I would be surprised if Cooper doesn't become the better player within the time frame of his rookie contract.

The question to me about this poll (same as every year) is, are we voting for the most important player on the team or the most talented or something else?
Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.
@Scott4Pack

23's post contains the stated criteria, and I respect that. But my observation in the past years has been that most view this game through the lens of which player will be best during the upcoming season.

No, not best but most valuable in the upcoming season. I would not be surprised of the Packers play a 4-1-6 a lot with 3 safties and 3 CB's. That makes the single LB in the middle very valuable. He has to cover the run sideline to sideline on running plays and screen passes and draws. That is a lot more responsibility than most positions.

These two items weigh heavily in my voting, as well, with a lean toward value i.e. position value and injury replacement downgrade.

Position value is pretty self explanatory. RG isn't as impactful in the grand scheme of play as QB. No brainer.

Regarding the latter, if one of our WRs goes down to injury, it appears the offense won't miss a beat. However, if Jaire or McKinney get injured, there's not only the loss of individual talent in the lineup but also replacement value is significantly diminished. That is a big consideration for me.

Give me a break dude. At the end of the day, is there that much of a difference between these 2?

There isn't. I think if people would really define their own criteria we would see a lot of overlap and people saying the same thing but calling it something different.

we just used a #2 on Cooper, who most think is amongst the 2 most ready to play ILB, why would Havley opt for lighter personal, obviously we will see some dime alignments, but lber ally is where the game is played in this era, and we didn't draft Copper to ride pine Buddy :)
