Everybody is buying in to the run! :lombardi:
Just snagged the 3rd of 3 autographs on a new mini-helmet. Watson, Doubs and Reed all on one Packers speed mini-helmet. Could be a great sign (pun intended) for things to come. :idn:
Talk to us when Toure signs it. Otherwise it’s just meh…
How about Wicks too?

I’d think this leads to improved accuracy and greater potential for big off-schedule plays. :aok:

Absolutely, just so long as its not back across his body, back to the center of the field, into triple coverage on 1st down.

BTW. That was Aaron Rodgers most of his career(big plays off schedule with accuracy.) ITs also why Caleb Williams scares me a bit.

Was by the practice field at about noon today. Curtains were over the fence. But music was playing and the players were boisterous. Might have been the very end or even after practice officially ended.

According to Matt LaFleur in his post-practices presser, Van Ness is dealing with a broken thumb. It doesn’t sound like it’s a serious injury, however: LaFleur said Van Ness “broke his thumb a little bit — just the tip.” Innuendos and phrasing aside, this does not appear to be an issue that should keep Van Ness out for a significant amount of time.

So we have asymmetry between the legs and coaches talking about just the tip, What the fuzz is going on in OTA’s?

Saw reports of how the team reacted. Seems fitting today.

non-participants in practice today were quarterback-turned-receiver Alex McGough (undisclosed), tight end Tyler Davis (ACL, 2023), tight end Tucker Kraft (bicep), right tackle Zach Tom (bicep). cornerback Jaire Alexander (undisclosed) and safety Kitan Oladapo (foot). All of these injuries were previously reported other than Alexander’s. For what it’s worth, Oladapo is now out of his walking boot, which is a positive sign on his rehab.
With Tom still out on the offensive line, the Packers’ first-team look on the line of scrimmage comprised of Rasheed Walker, Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Sean Rhyan and Jordan Morgan (left to right). Morgan not only played right tackle but also left tackle and guard, per several reports. To say the least, the offensive line has yet to find a settled “best five” at this point of the summer.
Andre Dillard, who “started” at right tackle in previous practices, was used rotationally with the first-team offense at left tackle. Despite signing to Green Bay on a cheap contract, the coaching staff appears to value Dillard’s experience and pedigree highly. Last week, head coach Matt LaFleur stated that Dillard was a perfect scheme fit for the Packers’ offense.

The Packers’ offense started hot in team drills today. Per the Green Bay Press-Gazette’s Ryan Wood, Jacobs showed “real burst” out of the backfield on the first play of Green Bay’s team period, which was followed by a 75-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jordan Love to receiver Bo Melton. Andy Herman of Packer Report also mentioned that running back AJ Dillion has a “bit more hop in his step” in 2024 than in the past.
The first-team “starters” in the Packers’ base 4-3 front were Preston Smith and Rashan Gary on the ends, T.J. Slaton and Devonte Wyatt at the tackles, Quay Walker at middle linebacker and Eric Wilson and Isaiah McDuffie as outside linebackers. Assume that Kenny Clark is going to be a starter at defensive tackle, but it’s at least interesting that Slaton got a nod over 2023 breakout rookie Karl Brooks on the early depth chart
safety, where Anthony Johnson Jr. was the “starting” safety opposite of Xavier McKinney for yet another practice. Javon Bullard, a second-round rookie, was actually seen playing some rotational snaps with the first-team defense as a slot defender, rather than as a true safety.

The play of the day on the defensive side appears to have been when Cooper tackled Jacobs for a three-yard loss, per Herman. Hopefully, the linebacker can continue to flash that upside throughout the preseason and eventually regular season.

Dillard over Walker is wild.

Actually it's probably less to do with pecking order and more to do with having Dillard play both T spots while playing Rhyan with starting 1s at RG and Morgan at RT.

It has most to do with trying everyone everywhere and seeing who succeeds. Everyone thought Campbell and Rasul were just depth bodies until they weren’t.

It could also be that Walker is secure as LT and they want Dillard as the swing OT and Morgan competing at RG with Rhyan. I don't understand how anyone could "succeed" in OTA's without pads. What I find more interesting is that Myers is not getting competition from the rookie.
