I expected Tom and Kraft to start PUP. I would have figured Oladapo too with his toe surgery.

We really need to get Donovan Jennings in camp though. Especially with Tom out. The door for critical RT snaps are open for someone to look good and get Tom to move inside.

Andy Herman and others seem to think we could see a move of Jenkins to C, opening up the LG spot to Morgan and RG to Rhyan, keeping Tom at RT.

course Herman mentioned 2 or 3 other combo possibilities, but that would seem one that would keep the best 5 on the field.

Our priority signing as an UDFA. They actually gave him some pretty good guaranteed money for a non-drafted player. @lupedafiasco mentioned OT, but I actually think the Packers have been looking at him more at OG in offseason work. Definitely a talented kid that could get his name in the mix.

my roster sheet is from 22, with last years additions inked in, guess it's time to print up a new roster

I hate the term rebuilding, but when it comes to the changes we've seen, specially on offense it's hard not to see it, so many new players added these last couple years, it's very impressive

Hope the talk about Stokes is true and he can be at the least his rookie year. He was fine as a rook and if he catches half the balls that hit his hands he's a stud.

I agree about the OL battle being interesting but I still think CB2 is the most important. If we want to be more aggressive on defense can’t be beat.

Battles I'm looking forward to seeing play out:

• Oline top 5 - lots of talent through OL7, particularly at tackle. We may see some position movement to get the top 5 on the field.

• no 2 CB - I'm not convinced Stokes is gonna be that guy. I really liked what I saw from Valentine last year. In any case, I like where we're at from a top 3 outside CB standpoint.

• no 2 safety - this has got to be Bullard, right? Or do we see a surprise?

• no 2 RB - AJ Dillon is back and is a trusted but unspectacular option. Lloyd sure looks the part on college film. I would love to see him force his way onto the field.

• WR 4-6 - Man, what a WR group! Gute gonna have to make some tough decisions on roster cut down day.

• kicker - I don't think it's going to be much of a "battle" at all. I think it's Anders Carlson's job to lose. My money says he earns it anyway.

I am also looking forward to watching Xavier McKinney up close, particularly from a leadership standpoint. I love Jaire but he's not necessarily a leader, at least in the traditional sense. McKinney seems to have that presence that other players are drawn to and my hope is that he can be that guy who keeps the backfield focused and accountable.

I am also very interested to see if the training staff overhaul shows any immediate impact. I get so tired of the laundry list injury reports. Hopefully we can keep the guys on the field for a change.

And finally, who is gonna be this year's training camp darling? You know, the longshot player that just stands out in practice and in PS games? I'm gonna say Brenton Cox Jr. I think he turns a lot of heads this year.

It's tough for a CB to be a real leader since they're isolated to the outside. They have communication with 2 maybe 3 guys.
The line battles will be interesting but since they've platooned people on the OL in games in recent years, the starting line may not be set in stone.
I'm kind of interested in possible trade bait somewhere down the line. Even with the new Trainers, I expect to lose somebody and having a WR we could move for a replacement might work this year.

Those are 2 massive hurdles for a rookie learning a new system. Hopefully he's an A student, because both of those are coachable traits

Dumb question. What is the reason for these list this time of year? Just transparency? It does not free up a roster spot. How is it different than just saying he did not practice for the next how ever many days?

Teams aren’t required to pay players on the NFI.

Money.

Teams aren't obligated to pay contracts if the player gets injured in a non footbal related injury. Players don't like it either. Really came to fruition during the COVID lockdown as players were worried they wouldn't get paid during offseason training when the teams locked them out. Also became a thing with Z Smith as he hurt himself in a non football thing and he was staring at no money and thus led to his pancing of "I want to be a Packer for life!" tweets.
