Joseph is gone. We grabbed Braydon Narveson from the Titans.
The Tennessee Titans waived Narveson on Tuesday after he put together an impressive preseason performance. A rookie who finished his college career at North Carolina State, Narveson possesses a big leg and pushed veteran Nick Folk for the Titans’ kicking job this summer. However, the 39-year-old Folk led the NFL in field goal percentage a year ago, missing just one attempt, and generally was assumed to have the job throughout camp.

Narveson, who had a reasonably respectable (by college kicking standards) 18-for-23 season last year for the Wolfpack and hit a 57-yarder, had a standout camp. He went 6-for-7 on field goal attempts, including a 3-3 performance in the second preseason game that saw him hit an attempt from 59 yards and drill a 46-yard field goal to win the game. Furthermore, Narveson’s only preseason miss came from 58 yards, coming up just short.

I just want to say that the decision to keep Anderson over a few roster-able candidates likely does not matter in the long run at all and I am and have remained aware of this. I just hate it so much I am wasting our time posting about it. My posts are just as wasteful as Anderson's spot on the roster. I know this. I'm just perplexed by it. It speaks to a process that is flawed at the back end.
We can only hope that he showed some vast improvement during practices to warrant his position. It's not unheard of for guys to click after some blah years. That would be the only justification. Other than the coaches see something most of us don't. With Tyler Davis out, I was shocked Welch wasn't kept to pick up the slack on ST's. So I'm scratching my head too Yoho.

Zane Anderson replaced a healthy Dallin Leavitt, who was the team leader in ST tackles in 2022 - and brought back in 2023 for that reason
Leavitt played in the first half of the 2023 season, but when GB needed a roster spot - they released Leavitt and went with Anderson.
From week 11-20 Zayne played 127 snaps on STs and 13 on defense.

In addition to losing Leavitt, STs also moved on from others who played a lot of ST snaps- especially at the Safety position
Rudy Ford, D.Savage, J. Owens, Innes Gaines, Leavitt plus - Welch, Deguara, P Taylor, Y Nijman, R Douglass, D. Campbell.
