Now we’re cooking!
After a slow start - and some public humiliation - forum prognosticators finally found some footing in week 3. There were several members who hit above average last week but none of them matched former cellar dwelling @NCF with an impressive five of six picks called correctly! Well done! On the other end of the spectrum, yours truly obviously and intentionally took an off week, hitting on only two picks, thus allowing some of you to catch up. You’re welcome.
I am traveling this week so won’t be able to provide an update on the overall scores until Friday or Saturday. Just eyeballing it, though, it appears things have tightened up. I did want to get the thread for this week going, though, with an update to follow.
Now, on to the picks!The rules are simple:
- Choose an outright winner from the four select games of the week
- Choose an outright winner from the Packers matchup
The upset pick can be from the previous five games already in play or any of the other weekly NFL matchups on the schedule, so long as your chosen underdog victor was listed as a kickoff dawg. For reference, a listing of Vegas odds can be found here.
- Choose an outright upset winner from any weekly matchup
I will maintain a cumulative tally of correct choices with the winner declared at the end of the regular season. You'll get a mulligan for two weeks, be it forgotten picks or a bad week, but the rest are on you. The winner will be declared at season's end for the participant with the most correct picks. In the event of a tie, the participant with the most correct upset picks will be declared the winner.
