In other news. No real reason to schedule watch anymore. We have no shot at the division. Just root for the Packers.
Maybe not the division but we should aim for the top WC spot.
Just root for the Packers and we will be a 5 or 6 seed. You just want to avoid the 7 slot

I think there is a good chance we can use week 18 as a rest week.

The above is just horrendous officiating. If you call Watson, you HAVE TO- call Laporta and Patrick.

I think I feel similar to a lot of folks. I know we lost, but I feel good about the Packers. We definitely showed that we are one of the elite teams in the league. The refs sucked but honestly, if we play them in the playoffs, I would expect the same calls to go in favor of the home team, so we just need a couple other breaks to go our way. I still think we're a year out from being a true Super Bowl Team. Just need a couple extra pieces and players to develop for one more year but we'll be thankful for this experience we've gained the last 2 seasons.

PS. Dan Campbell is both the reason why the Lions will make the Super Bowl and lose the Super Bowl. The dumbest great coach I've ever seen. We could have stopped them on that 4th down and then drove the field and kicked a winning field goal. What's even better is that people are praising him today for it. It'll bite him like it did last year.

One thing that irks me is how dead silent the stadium was Nixon got his INT. In other words, there were hardly any Packer fans in attendance. Annoys me we can't have that at home.

Tickets have gotten too expensive. More and more GB fans need to sell seats to half the games to be able to afford going to the other half.

I'd imagine you would have heard a fan response were it not a Thursday night game. Tough for away fans to get to those, especially when it immediately follows a major holiday weekend.

Sums it up for me.

Problem is their front 7 was practice squad players this game and they still pressured Love more than the Pack pressured Goff. We really needed someone who can cover Tim Patrick on a fourth down and someone who could get to Goff in the 4th Q. A third game and the Lions D will be better. Not insurmountable but certainly not insignificant.

They were sending the house and we didn't respond particularly well the first 2 drives. Who knows what happens if Watson doesn't fumble on the 3rd.

On defense we tried playing man, but we couldn't hang with Williams. We then went into more Tampa 2 with more injuries even and they were getting the ball out quickly.

Mention the Lions injuries, sure, but their defense didn't do well either. We had injuries that impacted us as well.

They got the ball last. I have the utmost confidence that if we would have gotten then ball with 1 minute remaining and down by 3, we tie that game.

Dirty Kirby destroyed two players' knees already.

Dan "bountygate" Campbell's opening speech about biting kneecaps off was not metaphorical.

it may, who's to say, 4th and short from your side of the field is risky, sure, but giving the ball back to Love and the Packers with 3 minutes left is risky too, it was a last team with the ball wins scenario situation.

minus the ability of our offense to get big plays and run the ball, our defense has not been good enough to hang with the more well rounded teams, heck Detroit has 13 defensive players on IR, and yes we are missing a few ourselves, however nothing like the lions,

I think your point is valid, we are very young, and still missing better play at several positions to be considered a SB caliber team, we are a team that can't afford to make any mistakes, and we start most games with poor play in first half, put ourselves right behind the 8 ball in catch up mode.

is what it is, I hope for a wild card

Write it down. The 6th seed packers will go into Detroit round 2 and end Dan Campbell and company season. The Lions and the refs didn't do a thing that makes me feel GB isnt on their level. Just get healthy and we will be ok.

On to next week

I agree we win if we get the ball back. I also think we win if Love doesn’t get pressured immediately on the last offensive play; he finds the open receiver streaking across the back of the ez. Being up by 4 instead of tied would have been huge for the D on the last drive. Therefore I have to tip my hat to the Lions DC to be able to generate pressure with out half his guys.

Classic case of refs seeing the result and not the process. Absolute crap.
