Should have went for it then and the first field goal they got too.

I don’t think this team is offensively good enough to be going for it on 4th down. That’s just me. We have seen it backfire not just this season. Last year we were 50% on 4th and this year we are just 53%.

Do the bares get the ball first in the 3rd Q?
Love is the better QB IMO but......
Willis brings something completely different to the offense. MLF knows how to use Willis also.
Willis gets wide open throws literally because he runs a 4.38. When he has gotten wide open throws this year he has many times put it on the money. To me, he literally is young Lamar 2.0.
When Willis plays he literally is probably the best athlete on the field. He could run a 60 yard TD or throw a 60 yard TD.
Can he play conventional QB like Love? Of course not. ITs not even close at this point.
I just enjoy watching him play some.

You have to wonder if it'd be advantageous to use Willis situationally, even in games that matter. He just seems to have "it" and this offense seems to find a rhythm when he plays.MY_TAKE wrote: ↑05 Jan 2025 13:46Love is the better QB IMO but......

50% can get you 7 points every two tries.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑05 Jan 2025 13:44I don’t think this team is offensively good enough to be going for it on 4th down. That’s just me. We have seen it backfire not just this season. Last year we were 50% on 4th and this year we are just 53%.
2 field goals, assuming we have McMannus and not other scrubs, maybe 6.
It’s okay to miss 4th downs.

We saw a play today where they did that. Read option to RPO would be cool with Willis as the back.Papa John wrote: ↑05 Jan 2025 13:51You have to wonder if it'd be advantageous to use Willis situationally, even in games that matter. That was a nice strong run by Wilson.
