So Wicks has the lowest number of routes (didn't see Watson because his routes and targets were so low).

Wicks had the most Targets but 4th most receptions and 5th most receiving yards on the team.

So it seems he gets open in limited routes really well (would support he's a good route runner) but can't catch the damn ball.

If we all remember Davante had issues catching the ball during his first couple of seasons. Let's hope Wicks figures it out too. NFL WRs who can't catch contested balls aren't worth their salt IMO.

In most cases, it seems like an offseason and taking some time off really helps. Helped James Jones, Davante, etc. Like any bad habits in sports, it is so hard to turn it around during the season because it gets in your head.

The thing with Davante was he never had any drop problems until that one season. When he was at Fresno he was coming down with everything including the difficult passes.

Wicks was dropping balls in college too. Gotta really hope he can clean it up somehow but it might be who he is. Even TO made a HoF career while having drop issues.

IMHO most drop issues are lack of concentration, and thinking about too many things during the catch process, and usually occur in the first couple of seasons of the player's career, however, other issues do occur later, one of our receivers needed eye glasses (contacts) can't remember the name now, but that was a 5th or 6th-year player.

Adams was fine. Then Adams got hurt, then started dropping balls, it got in his head, then 78K fans turned on him every weekend boo'ing the &%$@ out of him. Then he healed, got his head right was back on track to being one of the best.

OK, thanks, I didn't follow up on Wick's background or college stats, so I would agree that, lower catch % might be an issue for him his whole career, bummer because he does everything else pretty well

not really, it seems to fluctuate a few spots each way year to year,

Packer players appear to generally be pretty big fans of how the Packers handle their business. The team got high marks from its players in the NFL Players Association annual survey, ranking 7th among 32 teams for overall quality. They ranked 3rd and 9th in 2024 and 2023.

Players were especially high on the Packers training facilities (their weight room got an “A” grade from players, ranking 5th in quality and 4th in overall space out of 32 teams), food and dining (their dining facilities and team nutritionist both got “A-” grades), and coaching and ownership.

Matt LaFleur’s A- grade was only good enough for 20th out of 32 teams, though. According to the survey, just 93% of players felt LaFleur used their time efficiently — the 18th best mark in the league. And players felt LaFleur was only moderately receptive to feedback from the team, earning him the 20th best grade in the league in that category.

Mark Murphy, meanwhile, was praised by players for his investment in team facilities, his contribution to overall team culture, and his commitment to winning. Though he’s not the official owner of the Packers, he stands in as the team’s owner in league business and was graded as one for the purposes of the survey.

The Packers didn’t do so hot in a couple of other areas of the survey. The Packers’ training staff, strength coaches, locker room, and treatment of families all earned “B” grades. 88% of players surveyed said they got enough one-on-one time with trainers, and 85% of players said the strength coaches provided them with personalized training programs, ranking 14th and 29th out of 32 teams in those measures, respectively. The Packers locker room, for its part, was only a problem in that some players felt they did not have enough individual space at their lockers.

As far as the family treatment goes, the report card indicated the Packers are just one of three teams in the NFL that does not provide daycare options on gameday, though they do provide a family area.

The Packers were the second-highest graded team in the NFC North. The Vikings got the second-best grade in the entire NFL, bolstered by their outstanding training facilities and locker room, while the Lions ranked ninth. The Bears, true to form, came last, ranking 14th.

Always noticed there doesn't seem to be any real correlation between report card ranking and team success.

I mean, some things, like locker rooms, you can compare to other teams visiting locker rooms. In general, though, I agree it's mostly worthless for some of the categories as there is no basis for comparison other than player gossip.

unless the players really ding ya it seems hard to get a C grade, we were third a year ago, I'd bet were top 10 every year since they started this, to me doing well at this, especially in coaching and facilities help most with acquiring UFA

The NFLPA got responses from over 1,700 players. The Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings led the rankings, with the Packers coming in third in 2023 after a sixth-place finish in 2022.

The Packers received an A- or better in weight room, strength coaches and ownership. The team's only grade below a B- was a C+ finish in treatment of families. Thet Packers ranked in the top half of the NFL in all categories expect head coach, where Matt LaFleur's B+ rating ranked 21st.

the player gossip though matters, actually this is a player thing, not a fan thing, players don't just go to a team because they pay the most, they also go for the perks, a great coach, GM, or something besides money helps close the deal, I was surprised to see Lafleuer with lower rankings, or that family experience wasn't top notch, personally as owners we need to address these issues

Good first step toward killing selling to opposing fans. Glad to see some movement on this finally. Wonder how the ticket office figured out which ticket holders sold all of their tickets? Using AI to monitor the Ticketmaster website maybe?
