Contract puts him tied for tenth in AAV.

Top is Butker at $6.4 million. Prater and Folk are 21st at $3.75 million, then there is a $1.7 million drop off for 23rd.
A nice middle of the road deal for a good kicker.

A little more than I expected but well worth it.

Color me a little surprised he resigned with us. I was leaning fairly heavily on him testing the market. I wasn't convinced he wanted to stay in GB. I also expected it to cost a bit more. So I'm happy with the deal.

Top Kickers make $6.5M and 12 of them make more than $5M per. And all those contracts were signed under much smaller salary caps.
This is top 15-20 kicker money, probably if you look at like the middle of this contract.
I was expecting closer to $5.5M honeslty.

I was hoping his legal troubles might drive the price down a little. Either way it’s a good deal. Can’t go back to searching for kickers in a championship window.

Fantastic signing. He and Whelan covered up a lot of sins on STs. Now we need to replace Orzech.
Great middle of the road contract. Only final thing that needs to change is for McMannus to have a number change.

He was cleared. Stayed out of the news all season and kicked over 90%. I think that is behind him but I also think we got the best shake because we were the team that let him back in the NFL door.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑04 Mar 2025 15:28I was hoping his legal troubles might drive the price down a little. 100% positive about this. I'm stoked to have/keep him.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
Good signing for a reasonable contract.

Genius move on the part of Gutenscheissenbumpst for a change. Could be a sign that Gutey is having constructive light bulb moments finally.

After all the struggles we've had with kickers I'm pleased we resigned him.

Good, but I just hope last year wasn't a fluke. All his other seasons average out to only 81%

He was playing in thin atmosphere of Denver were you kick the s&-# out of the ball from deep, he was having like 20+ 50+ attempts per seasonCrazylegs Starks wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025 12:02Good, but I just hope last year wasn't a fluke. All his other seasons average out to only 81%

Uh, no, check out the link. His most attempts over 50 in a season was 15 in 2020, and his average was 8 attempts per year.Willink wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025 13:53He was playing in thin atmosphere of Denver were you kick the s&-# out of the ball from deep, he was having like 20+ 50+ attempts per seasonCrazylegs Starks wrote: ↑05 Mar 2025 12:02Good, but I just hope last year wasn't a fluke. Regardless, last year trends positively, figure he feels the team had his back after the allegations.
