listing 1st round guys is easy. I'd take most of them. Here are some others, maybe edge of 1st round, that I think are good Packer fits and will be good players for a long time.

Matt Hennessey or Cesar Ruiz - Starting centers for the next decade
Antonio Gibson - So explosive
Jeremy Chinn or Ashtyn Davis - 2 totally different safeties. Both I think will be great.
Brandon Aiyuk - Could very well be our pick in the first. He's a YAC king. Room for improvement, but he's a mismatch.
Antoine Winfield - yes another safety. But mostly just to !@#$ off Viking fans! But he's got bloodlines and he's a heck of a player. Pettine will find a role for him.

It is, but it's also fun. Like I had Erik Kendricks in 2015 in my top and we didn't take him. I was pissed.

I did though have Kenny Clark in my top 5 in 2016 and felt like I was one of the few Packers fans who was happy after the pick.

There is just no point to get locked into prospects. It only serves to make you angry when we inevitably do not take who you want.

I think it's fine to have favorites, makes the draft more fun. But at pick 30, there are sooooo many things that could happen, so if you take a "it HAS to be one of my 5 faves (or position X only) or it's a bust!" -attitude, you're very likely to be disappointed.

I have some favorites, but will make an effort to understand whomever Gutey sees fit to draft.

Exactly what I was getting at thank you.

late first it's impossible to get to upset with players taken, what I think is rational upsetedness is taking a player with the highest pick we've had in 10 years that is almost assuredly going to be a backup for the 1st year of his contract, but may end up a rotational player for his whole rookie contract, cripes GM's draft franchise QB's with the 12 slot, how does a GM do so well with his first draft pick, and then the next year do so poorly with a pick 2 slots lower, he could have turned that 12 slot into a couple extra picks, we could have had 5 or 6 picks in the top 100, 4 in the first 2 rounds, I was very disapointed last year not because he didn't pick my fav, but he took a player I didn't want, we didn't need, and one that didn't help.

so Guty needs to do better with his first pick this year to redeem himself imo.

It might be beating a dead horse, but at least it is on topic. Look, we all think we know what is best, but those that have a more open mind will probably enjoy the process so much more.

I’ll pretty much only be disappointed if we take a QB, TE, RB or edge.

There really isn’t a WR I can’t get behind.

Shenault might be my least favorite WR prospect at the top, but I absolutely see the fit here and potential for day 1 contribution.

My list of disappointing positions with our first few picks is pretty short: QB or Edge. (minus specialists of course)

Jefferson or Reagor in the 1st

2 Logan Wilson. Fell in love with his kid
3 Noah igbinoghene. Hes not falling but he will be a stud
4 Dalton Keene end of draft hard nosed prospect to groom
5 Antonio Gibson

I have no problem drafting edge later in the draft.

Did you watch any 2018 tape? Just curious.

Not outside of his career highlights. But with your explanation in the other thread that his effectiveness was down this year because he was banged up. Sounds like an all too familiar Packer problem. That isn't going to make me mark him higher because he might be healthy again one day.

OR to make you an overjoyed fanboy for years like I was when we picked Randall Cobb as I watched from Afghanistan in the middle of the night.

Actually, I looked at the old forum and I made an "early wish list" in like January of ten players I wanted in the 2017 draft and we ended up taking three of them. That was pretty fun for me, too. Don't only look at the downsides. Look at the upside of locking into players you want. It's just MUCH less likely.

We're really on the same page this draft cycle.
